Checking out the 4 soups, they offer a variety of flavours for the different palates. There's beef, fish, chicken and even a vegan option.

Apparently this is almost Brazil's National dish! The original Russian recipe is made with onions, butter, mushrooms, beef slices, sweet wine and sour cream and served with potatoes or pasta. The Brazilian version however is supersized with more ingredients with added cream and is always served with steamed rice and chips. The soup spoon's version is based on best of both options and even comes topped with yummy, crispy potato sticks. Can we please have these crispy potato sticks as an option for ALL soups ?!

The beef was a familiar taste to my tongue and you wouldn't use more an ounce of jaw muscle to chew this, as the beef was extremely tender. There was a sweet aroma from the variety of ingredients in the soup that really opened up my appetite for more food! Soup Spoon was extremely generous with the ingredients for this soup!

Okay, there's 2 reasons to order this soup. 1. If you love singaporean style food, aka laksa and 2. If you love fish. I fall into both categories, hence this was the sure winner for me. Dear Soup Spoon, are you listening to this, keep this on the regular menu. The soup itself provided a fragrant aroma that carried the scent of all the ingredients! Too many to list but once you smell it, you know it's good stuff!

The fish itself was so soft and tender. Everything in this soup was edible with just a spoon. Do be careful with the fish bones, I did see a tweeny weeny bone the size of, like 2mm? Other than that, I had so much fun and enjoyment fishing out all the humongous fish chunks in the soup. I sure hope that regular customers would get the same fish to soup ratio. At the end of the event, out of curiosity, I was asking around if anyone had chosen this soup as the "Best soup of the night"and not surprisingly, almost everyone agreed.

You can never go wrong with a soup that has tender and juicy chicken embedded in it. This soup had a thicker consistency than the fish. It was modelled more towards the thick Indonesian soto ayam. This soup had a lighter taste but with a distinct tumeric lingering aftertaste. It is topped with chopped peanuts, coriander and coconut flakes. I didn't quite spot the coconut flakes but I felt that the soup could do with a bit more chopped peanuts. Considering that everything in the soup is either soft, tender or mushy. A slightly harder texture like chopped peanuts would provide a more satisfying crunch into each mouthful.

Okay, so the interesting part is the vegan soup is the one with the most calories! Say Whut?! The black beans was bathed in a savoury soup filled with tomatoes, sweet potatoes, yam, tapoica, celery, carrots, garlic and more. The beans was cooked to a firm, grainy consistency, a hybrid between a bean and porridge. The soup itself was slightly too salty for my liking. The garnishes of chopped coriander seems to be a key favourite in all the soups tonight.

Beef Feijoada (547 CAL)
Marinated NZ beef cubes, NZ beef tripe, NZ beef tendons, beef and chicken sausages, black beans, onions, garlic, oranges, carrots, red chillies, spices, red rice and quinoa
Topped with tapioca sticks, chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander and chopped orange pieces.
Feijoada is a common black bean stew in Brazil. The version which SouperChef Anna had in Brazil used various spare parts of the cow. The soup was very rich and thick, with sweetness from the orange pieces. Quite a filling dish.

Curried Pumpkin Mango & Mango Bitsque (356 CAL)
Pumpkin, Mango, Prawns, Quinoa, Curry Powder, Cream Cheese, Cream, Butter, Celery, Carrots, Tomatoes, Onions, Garlic, Worcestershire Sauce, Leek
Topped with a drizzle of Coconut Cream, and Chopped Coriander.
Surprisely the rich creamy soup tasted like laksa to me, with its spicy creamy taste plus a bits of minced prawns at the bottom which reminded me of hee bee (dried shrimp). It ended with the fruity sweet mango taste. Not quite a fan of it.

Mocofava My Version (327 CAL)
Marinated Chicken Thigh, Collagen Chicken Stock, Great Northern Beans, Carrots, Cassava, Tomatoes, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Leek, Spices, Coriander, Onions, Garlic, Green Bell Peppers, Chicken Sausages
Topped with Soft Boiled Egg, and Chopped Spring Onion.
SouperChef Anna got her Inspiration from the soup from Cafe Mocoto in Brazil, which used Cow's foot and mashed tapioca. The soup was rich and chunky with lots of meat and vegetables in it.

Vegan Caldo Verde (181 CAL)
Potatoes, Kale, Hearts of Palm, Lemons, Onions and Garlic
Topped with Vegetarian Bacon Bits, and a drizzle of Olive Oil.
It was rare to find a soup which made of kale which was considered a superfood and quite expensive to be used as soup. Hearts of Palm was also an unique vegetable to be used here, which fresh version could not be found in Singapore. It was a rich creamy soup with crunchy vegetables, although I would much prefer to have it served with real bacon bits.

Chicken Rice with Brazil influence
The chicken was quite tender, while the rice was flavourful.

We ended the meal with passionfruit and coconut pudding, which was creamy with a tangy taste.

I was craving for something light for dinner, and soup spoon is always my second choice for a light dinner, after a salad bar. Met the boyfriend, and we headed to this very outlet because we were headed to the gardens by the bay after. Bad bad choice.

We had the usual mushroom and beef goulash. The mushroom was fine, but the beef goulash was extremely watered down, how could anyone go wrong with a franchised product? Isn't it as simple as reheating?! They probably got more stingy toward the end of the night, and watered down the soup to serve more bowls. It was the worst bowl of soup I've ever had, and we didnt even finish it. The standing sushi bar opposite us looked so tempting from where we sat, but unfortunately our appetites were ruined.

Kudos to soup spoon- only they could mess up a franchised brand that I so enjoyed. I will still return to soup spoon, but never to this outlet again. The horror!!

Was attracted by the big round bread bowl in this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The bread texture is very firm and dry which is advisable to have it with soup some jam spread, if not is a bit difficult to swallow. Have order clam chowder to go along with my bread bowl. The texture of the soup is quite thick, but I do not really like the mix taste of cut celery in it which is like covered the clam flavour. Very filling and can be shared among two people.

Ate this for dinner together with my friend. And we wanted to order a BFF meal which is stated that it is still available.. but when it is our time, they say they don't have anymore bff set and wants us to get the regular soup bowl. so in the end we did and we order the cauliflower blue cheese. it is the chef special and it was thick and the blue cheese taste is indeed strong. it is a great mixture to dip with bread that they gave. And pair it with a iced lemon tea! in total, the meal costs $10

I love their mushroom soups. Each piping hot bowl of soup comes with generous chunky bits of shitake, white button mushrooms. The soup is of a thick, creamy consistency with all the mushroom goodness blended inside. I always savour every spoonful and finish every last drop of the soup left =) There are many soup and sandwich choices to choose from, so you won't get too bored with their selections.

Soup Spoon is a place which I will strongly recommend to those who wanna watch their diet as the calories of all the soups are clearly stated in the menu. Ordered this delicious Simon & Garfunkel Chicken Ragout soup which consists of pieces of chicken, mushroom and carrot. Given that the soup is kinda thick, one will feel full after drinking soup and hence, I will not recommend one to add $4.80 for an additional half sandwich and drink as I think most people will not be able to finish it.

I came here on a weekend for brunch and it was considerably empty. There are quite a number of choices of soup and sandwiches, and they are always coming up with new creations. However, most of the time, I would stick to my favorite mushroom soup. The mushroom soup is very creamy and full of slices of fresh mushroom and their quality is pretty consistent. I ordered the set meal, which comes with a drink and a half sandwich or wrap.
