It may be a 10 minutes walk from Lavender Mrt station, however, Tiramisu Hero's fashionable and hipster storefront stood out from afar, thus locating it was a breeze. Tiramisu Hero is a dream come true by 2 heroines who were previously a financial planner and blogger respectively. Apart from their selections of creative Tiramisu, mains and starters are available too.
I got myself the Chicken Gordon Bleu ($16) which was stuffed chicken breast adorned with cream based gravy.
Patricia ordered the Sophie's Breakfast ($10.50) which was stacked pancakes and sliced bananas, drizzled with honey and granola.
What caught my attention was the cheeky vibes that Tiramisu exudes. Sir Antonio, which is the name of the cat, can be seen all around the shop!
Overall a nice cafe with good ambiance and get ready to be blown away by customized Tiramisu!

We were very full from our lunch, but girls being girls - merely ordering just a pot of hot tea just wasn't enough (initially that was our agreement - just a tea or coffee). *Charmaine had the Tiramisu (SGD$7.50) in a jar, original flavor. She commented that it tasted merely like "chocolate and cream" at first bite, but then commented that the flavor grew on her as she continued to progress through her dessert.

I decided to go for the Tiramisu (SGD$7.50) in a jar - the strawberry flavor. As usual, there was no detected coffee aroma, just sweet cream and strawberries (I felt like I was eating S&C literally), though the texture was light and fluffy, lovely in its own right. I just wouldnt consider this a tiramisu place.

They also have these amazing pre-mix Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows (SGD$4.80) goodies for takeaways - all one needs to do is to add hot water or milk to enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate. *Charmaine bought a couple to try - I shall ask for her review soon.

decent choice of food, might not have too many choices within one category but they do have quite a variety of food choice from pasta, pizza to baked rice etc. Can take a look at http://thetiramisuhero.com/cafe-menu-2/ for the complete menu. Top up i think around $5 to complete your meal with soup + garlic bread, iced lemon tea and a dessert. The mushroom soup is creamy with bits of mushrooms. Garlic bread is well toasted, crispy and aromatic. But edges of the garlic toast may be a lil hard.
and the two mains we ordered were – AGLIO OLIO ($14,90) and CHEFCHEF CURRY BAKED RICE ($12.50), top up $2 if you want cheese to be added.
Aglio Olio: The pasta is a quite dry and overall the dish is a lil oil, probably due to the bacon also. Prawns were succulent nevertheless. I’ll find this dish quite average.
Chefchef Curry Baked Rice: Rice baked in chicken curry. To my surprise this dish is actually quite nice! Its a lil combination of japanese and indian curry cause when you eat you have the feel of eating japanese curry but as you know jap curry aint spicy, but this its a lil spicy as if spices were added. Also, it’s topped with chunky potatoes and tender chicken pieces! Yums.
Desert from the set was brownie top with icing sugar and drizzled with chocolate sauce. Very chocolatey. We also ordered one of their Chocolate tiramisu to try.
Chocolate Mommahero ($7.50): Feels very different, first time eating tiramisu without espresso and alcohol. It feels as in i’m eating chocolate cream puffs! Guess it’s just so so for me.
But overall, staffs were friendly and service was good.

And so welcoming was the blast of cool wind. We decided to bask in all of its air conditioned loving arms whilst waiting for a seat in the bustling crowd of cafe hoppers on a Sunday. Thankfully, getting a seat at their communal tables didn't take too long.

The creme brulee latte came with an overpowering scent but for what it served in smell, it failed to make up in taste.

These chicken wings looked like heaven. But again, fell short of their pedestal.
Straight from the fridge to the oven grills left them with an unmistakable un-thawed taste.

The waffles?
On their own, they were decent.
But those two scoops of vanilla ice cream was less than stellar.
They tasted of low quality and ruined the entire waffle order.
The tiramisu was quite the saving grace.
Though a little costly for its size.
It's a shame though because I loved the decor,
the aircon was quite the blast
The happy colors in the washroom and the cute drawings of The Tiramisu Hero of course! I'm sure they'll get better as the cafe continues. Jiayou!

Having heard good things about The Tiramisu Hero, I tried to pop by sometime ago but unfortunately they were having a birthday event. Yesterday, I finally managed to make my way there for brunch successfully!
The exterior is a pretty little garden complete with grass patch, comfortable seats and a distinctive signboard. The interior is an artistic abode of interesting ornamental furniture, and might I say it could be considered a themed cafe celebrating the cleverness of St. Antonio the Roman cat that brought in the perfect Italian Tiramisu. The stylish and sleek design boosts of a very relaxing ambience, daring its patrons to come in, take a bite / sip and simply chill out here. Service is friendly as well. They also sell pretty little accessories at the front.
For my mains, I had the Baked Dory Fish Rice in Alfredo Sauce (SGD$14.00)- buttered jasmine rice baked in creamy alfredo sauce with dory fish and brocooli. This dish was quite tasty, especially after the sprinkling of black pepper. The cheese atop was baked to a golden crispiness, and the dory fish was tender. I liked the idea of having some brocooli (vegetables) with my dish, and the fragrance of the jasmine rice completed the overall taste.
The friend enjoyed a small plate of Jayne Mac & Cheese (SGD$8.90) - macaroni in a cheesey cheddar and mozarella cheese dip. The macaroni was cooked to a springy texture so it was lovely to chew, and the cheese dip comprised two of our favorite cheese, so this deceptively-simple dish was a delight to have.
Their tiramisu are served in jars. I tried the Original Flavor, it melted in the mouth in a truffle-like manner. However, there was no distinctive aroma of coffee at all. It was a little disappointing. To add alcohol to the Tiramisu, there was an additional charge of SGD$5.00 for each order, so we skipped that. This was a unique concept, but all I could say was that I'd had better Tiramisu at other restaurants or cafes before

Ordered Ice Caffe Latte ($6.50), and Honey Milk ($6.00). A little taste of honey, which isn't snatching away the taste of the milk. I like!
Truffle Eggs Bacon Roll ($10.50) for bites. Fluffy scrambled eggs wrapped in crispy bacon drizzled with truffle oil, not forgetting the mushrooms of course! Soft bites to it, simply widens my appetite

Savoury Creamy Salmon ($19.00). Oven-baked alaskan salmon fillet served with asparagus and mashed potatoes, which states a waiting time of 15 minutes! Salmon is fresh, and mashed potatoes are yummy too. Simply can't stop mouthing it!
Baked Cheesy Chicken ($17.00). Oven-baked boneless chicken leg served with portobello mushrooms and golden vegetables. If you are a chicken lover, you might not want to miss this

Desserts, we ordered the Minihero ($3.50) in original flavor... and the Mommahero ($7.50) which is milo-flavored, that comes in a bigger serving as compared with Minihero. I preferred the Mommahero more as it is more unique, and I definitely like the taste of it!
While supposed to be known for their tiramisu dessert, I generally prefer their food! Yummy food, whereas desserts can be optional

Tiramisu ($7.50): We went with the staff’s recommendation of Horlicks, Ovaltine and Milo (only one shown here since they looked the same) flavours in the end. The tiramisu came in a cute jar which was rather interesting, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to its looks. All three were lacking in the taste department, and it felt like the tiramisu had been made and left in the jar for quite sometime.

Sorry to say, but friendly service alone isn't enough for for my friends and I to return for a second visit.

It was a relatively quiet Monday afternoon and the cafe wasn't really crowded and it was a pretty nice place for reading or chilling out. I got a little excited by the menu and ordered the yummy sounding Truffle Egg Bacon ($10.50). The dish is meant to be a starter so te portions were relatively small. It is essentially scrambled eggs, cooked outside to be a little firm and circular shaped while the insides remained warm and fluffy. There were also strips of crispy bacon to be found in it. It was served on top of fragrant slices Portobello mushrooms which really completed this delicious dish. I also had their Mommahero ($7.50)- essentially the name for the tiramisu in a jar, meant for 1 serving. There were many exotic flavors available and I chose the strawberry flavour- which came with chunky strawberry slices wedged between fresh cream and spongecake. This tasted more like strawberry shortcake than tiramisu and can potentially be a let down for some. I also had their macchiato ($5.50) which was pretty strong, fragrant espresso shot served with foam milk.

I did not find service here lacking- the staff are generally polite and accommodating. You do have to place orders at the cashier in front though. I do find prices a little steep for the relatively petite portions of food here. But the environment is really inviting and nice to be in.

As you step into the shop, The Tiramisu Hero's mascot, Sir Antonio greets you at every corner of the wall. What we really like about the interior is the ladders hanging upside down from the ceilings. Lights are wrapped around the ladder which helps illuminate the places as well as add a creative touch to the design. The whole place gives off a relaxed and comfortable vibe while achieving a chic minimalist stance. We could feel that the owners really placed a lot of effort in decorating the shop to bring out it's own unique character and style.

The must-try when we are in The Tiramisu Hero's cafe is their signature Tiramisu. Here in their cafe, they offer various sizes of Tiramisu that will match your group's size. Also, they have all the flavors and some special ones include Horlick, Lavendar, Lemon and such. Sadly, when we were there, only Original and Milo were available. We decided to try the Milo flavoured, MommaHero ($7.90), good for one.

We were really surprised when we saw that the menu consists of dishes like Tom Yum Goong and Thai Basil Pork Rice which we don't really see appear on the usual brunch menu. Piqued, we decided to order the Thai Basil Pork Rice ($12.50) as we wanted to try something different. Looking at the photo below, it doesn't look very photogenic, but, the dish was really appetizing and quite tasty. We would recommend this dish to those who prefer something other than your usual brunch.

We ordered the MommaHero and it came in a cute little bottle. There is more cake than cream, so depending on how creamy you like your tiramisu to be, this might be a hit or miss for you.

There are lots more savoury items available at Tiramisu Hero, but if you are looking for something small, the spinach quiche is one of the items available.

The Tiramisu Hero Cafe is a great place for friends to hang out over desserts with its comfortable and inviting environment. I haven’t manage to try out the mains at the place, but so far what I have tasted isn’t too bad. Given that the cafe has just recently opened, I can see the servers running around like headless chicken. I will probably head back a couple more times to review the food again
