Just headed down to Thorirah to get my Mutton Murtabak craving satisfied and I would say that their portion is huge! It was a hot day and we want to look for cold stuff like ice cream but didn't want to spend too much... Usually a cafe will make us poorer by $15 for 2pax, but I spent only $9! Ice cream prata at $5, 2 plain prata and 1 ice milo at $2 big mug (to share)The ice cream prata is crispy, but do eat it first if once it comes! Always thought that roti bomb is just a bigger version of roti prata but look at this. The plate is a normal sized plate and thus, the roti bomb is not very big. Had prata for supper with friends. We ordered one egg prata, one plain, nasi lemak, soup tulung and pattaya rice. The plain prata is a bit hard, the egg prata is just nice. I heard their standard has dropped. I guess this might be the reason why this place is not as crowded as before. I ordered my usual favourite - mutton murtabak. It still tasted quite the same as before. The amount for the mutton was rather generous. I could taste it in almost every bite. The texture of the muturbak has got a slight crisp and not too oily. It does go well with the curry sauce provided.

I ordered a plain prata for lunch as i was not too hungry. It was served promptly with a plate of curry sauce to my table. The texture of the prata was rather fluffy and light. The best way to enjoy this prata is to soak it in the curry sauce and let it absorded the aromatic curry taste then eat it. The spiciness level of this curry sauce is rather mild. There was a slight drop in the standard but still tasted quite good.

I love to eat tandoori chicken and so glad to find this dish on their menu. I decided to order it for $5.00. When it was served, what i got was 3 very small pieces of chicken parts served with mint sauce. The chicken tasted alright but a little dry in texture and not too charred so less flavourful with little meat. This should be my first and last time ordering this dish here.

I have always preferred masala thosai over plain prata, and I order it whenever I decide to eat at a prata stall. At Jalan Kayu, it's the place to hunt for some good masala thosai and teh tarik! I really enjoy their masala thosai, as it is full of potatoes and the texture of the thosai is crisp, fluffy and light, which sets it apart from the normal thosais out there. Over here is a place buzzing with orders every minute, all wanting a taste of the famed prata! We went to Thohirah Restaurant because it was convenient. We ordered their plain roti prata and their egg prata. Their roti prata is pretty average. It’s not crispy and it does not leave an impression. The curry was a little salty.However, the service is pretty good. The staff will smile at the customers and they will take the initiative to help the customers. For example when they notice that the fork and spoons are low, they will immediately put more.

Late night supper with a big group friends at Thohirah Restaurant at Jalan Kayu! We ordered sooo much!
