This is the stall if you got cravings for fried hokkien prawn noodles in a shopping mall, their soup base is soaked in the beehoon mee completely, with very nice chilli wrapped in the leaves, some may find it expensive for $5, but for this quality of hokkien mee, the price is ok for me, every ingredients taste so nice, but one flaw is that not much sotong left by the time i order for dinner. The soup base is prawn based, very fragrant, chilli not so spicy, just nice.

I got to Food Republic because I had a $5 food voucher that is in the stage of getting expired soon. The Hokkien Prawn Mee was priced at $4.50 and I went for that for my dinner. I was quite surprised with its excellent taste and flavor. There is always a long queue in this place. Food Republic uses Opeh leaf to wrap the Hokkie and it came out to be tasty. The noodle was moist and had the flavor of the prawn broth. It had only 3 pieces of prawn that were well-fried.

Prices start from $4.50 a serving. There is a 10% for passion card and safra card holders.

Want to eat good food, have queue up first. This stall always long queue for the popular fried prawn noodle. Today i order big Prawn Noodle it cost me $5.50, the noodle portion i think is just the same as normal price only. For upsize they just top up the big prawn only. Total can have 5-6 big prawn, the noodle is juicy and delicious flavorful. Even i order upsize, it still not enough for me

Hokkien prawn mee (small) $4.50
They used Opeh leaf to wrap the hokkien mee..nice! Serving portion was rather big. The noodles were moist and infused with prawn broth flavor, quite well fried. However, I find that they are not generous with the ingredients, other than the standard 3pcs of prawns, there's only like 3-4 small slices of squid in it, no pork belly nor pork lard found in the noodles.

I'm not a big fan of food republic but this particular fried oyster omelette had me visited twice. I wouldn't say they have the freshest oyster, but the egg was fried till the utmost crispiness. On the side note, sometimes the omelette could be a little too salty. I would suggest you tell the uncle to fry it with lesser salt, much healthier that way too.

It's hard to find a place during lunch hours, I would suggest that you visit at a non peak hour. Worth trying!

The dish looked really delicious and the prawn noodle sauce is smell nice when the staff was being prepared to me. There have two chef to prepare the dish, one is cook for fried prawn noodle, and another one is fried kway teow. The noodles come served in dried bamboo leaves, which helps to give a better flavour to the noodles I like the prawn noodle of this stall, because of the flavor and the fresh prawns, squid and egg. I like to eat prawn, and there're a few big prawn . The prawns was big and fresh. And the prawn noodle taste was awesome. sometime i will order big plate prawn noodles, because is too delicious.

Will definitely recommend the fried prawn noodle to my friends.

The stall at the Food Republic at Nex was not as crowded as it usually is on that day.

I ordered the smaller portion of the Fried Prawn Noodle @ $4.20.
The portion was quite a generous one and the seafood (prawns and cuttlefish) in it was
fresh. However, despite it being a piping hot serving that was not too dry, it was not up to my expectation. It still did not reach the standard of other similar dishes I had tasted.

Overall, it is ok if you're in a hurry and need to have a quick meal.
There is nothing much to savour here, though!
The service was good and the environment ok.

There is always a long queue at this stall, so I decided to find out what was so special.
It was close to 9pm, so I guess closing time was coming.

I ordered the small Fried Prawn Noodles.
The dish looked really delicious while it was being prepared.
It was prepared in bulk and the stall assistant scooped out
the various portions for each customer.

There was a generous serving of prawns, but, tastewise something was not quite right.
The noodles were bland and practically tasteless.
It seemed like a hurried job, since it was almost the last batch before closing time.
I'm not sure if all the ingredients were added properly and mixed.
It really seemed a waste of $4.80.
Definitely some seasoning was missing.
I added the sambal chilli provided for some saving grace.
Service and the environment were both acceptable, though.
Will probably not go back for more

Food Republic has been known to franchise lots of famous stalls in their food court. Having eaten the original Thye Hong Fried Prawn Noodles, I decided to try out this stall. The noodles come served in dried bamboo leaves which will impart some fragrance to the noodles. The pawn noodle did not disappoint and was tasty. The pawns also tasted fresh.
