Anyway, Time Table Cafe was the most spacious looking one with the poshiest decor in comparison to the other joints here, hence we decided to grab our pre-dinner coffee here. I loved the black, white and silver decor magnified by the presence of mirrors, as well as the comfortable leather seats.*V chose an Affogato (SGD$7.40) - shot of espresso with a huge scoop of ice-cream. She went for pistachio flavour. The ice cream was creamy but not too rich, hence retaining the distinctive flavour of pistachio. It paired off rather well with the aromatic coffeeI had a Chocolate Cookies Latte (SGD$5.80) that was prettily decorated, as is the trend these days. The coffee contained strong hints of berries and a little sour overture, but was sweetened beautifully by the chocolate cookies. The service was good and there was free wi-fi for all, making it a perfect chillout or work cafe. What's best is that they currently have this "2nd cup at 50%" promotion! So, say, if I finish my Chocolate Chips Latte and wish to try their Affogato, I bring my empty cup back to the counter, pay SGD$3.70, and get to enjoy another delicious cup of hot beverage. For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to refer to:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/05/coffee-break-at-time-table-cafe-east.html

Located at East Village, a small shopping centre with Cold storage and several Halal certified eateries is Time Table. It is such a small cafe, that it doesn't have a kitchen. My friends were curious to know how they served pasta and pizza. I pointed at the microwave and convection oven and my friends were like "Oh!" 1. Beef Spaghetti $10.80The pasta sauce just tasted strange, not sure if it was because the staff had served us our waffle with ice cream first. But even the meatballs were hard, definitely frozen. The meatballs reminded me of the meatballs you eat when you have a steamboat. There was a pineapple lingering taste in the salad.2. Mushroom Spaghetti $8.80The mushroom spaghetti was a strange one, it was very salty. MSG ladden for sure! Even the mushrooms tasted weird. We struggled to eat just the mushrooms, salad and egg and left the rest of the pasta to the dish washer. With the upsetting main courses, I am not sure why is this cafe so full of people!! Maybe it's the nice cosy sofa booths, and free wifi?3. Waffles with green tea ice cream $8.80The ice cream flavour was nice, but the waffle was not crispy. I am a crispy waffle lover, but my friends liked fluffy waffles and to them, this wasn't even fluffy. The waffle smelt so good on the iron, everytime the staff made a waffle, the entire cafe had the sweet scent of a freshly made waffle. But our waffle tasted more like a cake batter than a waffle. It was quite hard to stomach, but the green tea ice cream brightened up my day, with the almond flakes, it was still palatable.Maybe because it was Mother's day, but there were piles of dirty dishes on my table, not left behind by the previous customer but by the customers before them! So I just stacked them all up and like 4 other glasses of water and brought them to the staff. The staff thanked and hurried over to clean the rest of the dishes. They were understaffed on that very day for sure.
