After walking around, we realized the prices were standard for the chicken wings $1.30 and 60cents per satay. We decided to go with TKR as it was a chinese stall, which meant they sold pork satay!1. Pork/chicken/mutton Satay 60 cents eachWe ordered 10 sticks of pork, 10 sticks of chicken and 10 sticks of mutton which added up to $18, and they gave us 5 bowls of satay sauce. The pork satay had alot of fats in them, which for me, I actually enjoyed. For the health conscious, you might want to just take the chicken sticks, which were more tender. The mutton was considerably drier than the chicken and pork, but it didn't have the weird smell. So I was okay with it.2. BBQ Chicken wings $1.30 eachThe chicken wings were pretty good. I enjoyed the crispy roasted skin. The meat was very juicy and I felt that for BBQ chicken wings, these weren't too oily and is a good choice for me! I've had BBQ chicken wings dripping with oil and that's usually the reason why I avoid them. They were presented very nicely on the styrofoam plate. They definitely gave some thought into present continue reading

TKR is one of the chicken wings stall recommended by one of the application on my handphone. Noted for its crispy skin and charred exterior, these yummy chicken wings are not to be missed. When competition is very stiff in Newton Food Centre, it's hard to survive by just selling an item, thus TKR had its business expanded to items like Otah and Satay. The usual hawkers would have written the ordering details on the disposable plates given and like wise, TSR did the same with quantity and table number indicated on the plate. These tempting plate of wings were juicy, for tangy flavour, squeeze some lime over them and for additional kick, dip portions of the meat into the spicy chilli given.Yummy not? These succulent and delightful BBQ finger licking good wings were pretty well done. Serviettes were given by the uncle and he was thoughtful enough to tell me not to place them on table as the fans would blow them off.At a price of $1.30 per piece, they are reasonable considering its location even though neighbourhood food centres are selling them at about $1.10 - $1.20 per piece. Last but not least do try TSR out for their yummy wings, if not their friendly service. continue reading

A perfect chicken wing should not be too oily not too burnt. To achieve the crispy slightly charred outer skin and a well-cooked meat inside requires tremendous skill in grilling and TKR chicken wing executes the chicken wings pretty well. Costing about $1.30 each, the chicken wings here were very juicy, especially when lime juice is squeezed all over it. Do try it when you are at Newton Food Centre. continue reading
