It was a lovely Saturday morning, me and my friends planned to go Sentosa for the S.E.A. Aquarium. Before we enter Sentosa, we decided to go for our breakfasts at Toast Box.The Toast Box which we went to was located at Vivocity level 3 connected to food republic foodcourt There were already lots of people having their breakfast within the foodcourt and Toast Box when we reached there but we are lucky to be able to get a table of 5 people seats without much waiting (Free seating). We were given our drinks right after the order was taken including the half boiled eggs though we need to wait for our bread to be done.Everything went quite well until one of my friend saw that the staff given us all dirty spoon instead of clean ones. There are quite a lot of stain on every spoon that my friend went back to the staff to replace all those dirty spoons. But instead of apology for the dirty spoon, the staff just quickly took the spoon from her and give her a new sets. In the same time, remove all the spoons from existing container to re-wash them again. I wonder how many of the earlier customer used those stained spoon since we are like the first to highlighted these to the staff. The half boiled eggs were quite standard though I think these were a bit over heated (80% Boiled) as the egg yolk was a bit on the solid stage soon. The thick bread were being covered by eggs before deep frying it. After that, put a small piece of butter on top of it before servicing. Overall taste, not so bad except that I do not really understand why they put such a small piece of butter which can cover only 1 small part of the thick toasts. The Bo Lo Bao was very soft and it does not really tasted like the real bo lo bao which I had eaten before. The top part was not as nice too though I think their butter was quite nice. The kaya given was quite little but I would say their kaya plus butter compilation is one of the best breakfast to me as I used to eat like these during my younger kids days. continue reading

It was crowded in Vivocity and almost all the food eateries are full with people. We happen to walk past Toastbox and notice a 2 pax seat empty and of cos we quickly 'snatched' the seats before it was taken. As I was hungry and not wanting just bread and kopi for dinner, I decided to have their laksa to fill my stomach. The laksa's presentation is awesome, with the ingredients (prawns, egg, fish cakes and taupok) nicely place at the top of the thick beehoon covered with thick laksa gravy. One sip at the gravy and it was so good! Thick but not too over powering. Spicy level is just nice too which don't require me to add in more sambal chili. The ingredients are fresh as well. continue reading

Toast box is one of the places that offer my all time time favorite thick peanut butter toast. A generous amount of their signature peanut butter is spread onto the freshly grilled toast. It tasted crusty on the outside and soft inside. A thick peanut butter set cost $4.90. The set includes a peanut butter toast, two eggs (hard/soft boiled) and cup of either tea or coffee. continue reading

You should definitely try out the toasts at Toast box, Since toasts are their speciality, they are the BEST. I've tried the kaya toast, French toast & this time decided to try the Floss toast. It's a thick slice of toast, cut into 8 bite size pieces. The floss toast was very tasty & crunchy. Oh gosh, even thinking about it makes me want to go and indulge in a Toast Box toast :-). continue reading

I really like the laksa at Toast Box. I went to the Food Republic outlet for lunch which costs $4.50. The laksa gravy is creamy and the spiciness suits my taste buds just right. The portion was sufficient to fill my stomach. It comes with eggs, bean curd skin and noodles. I enjoy the meal overall. continue reading
