the food at todai has got lots and lots of different kinds.

there are soup base!
there are seafood!
there are sweets!
there are even korean food!
there are even japan food!

the cold crab there is really huge, many many different kinds of sushi.
the meat of the cold crab is really tender and soft. and they are extremely generous with the snow crab, it's a buffet, so the snow crab is EAT ALL YOU CAN!!

so if you are a sushi lover, you can go for it.

the soup base laska dish is really local, it is not very spicy and the portions is really small, so you could try a lot of different varieties.
there are many sashimi as well, salmon/tuna. And I wanna say the salmon is really very fresh.

you guys must really go try it!

i am bringing my family back again to todai in may! am waiting to see what exciting promotions they have in may.

the tables are quite packed side by side to each other, they even have private dining rooms for groups!

It was my first time at Todai, located at MBS #B2-01. The dinner was $54++ per person. The buffet spread was value for money, as they were very generous on their snow crab legs, and there was many selection of sushi freshly made. In the end, I didn’t get to try every dish, however, I will come back for the rest.

Do note when placing reservations, remember to reserve online to get 10% off bill.
Variety-wise, there was a wide spread of cooking counters to suit almost all taste: Seafood, Japanese sashimi, Brazilian churrasco, Korean, Italian pizzas and of course local delights. The names of the dishes seem international enough (and misspelled enough) with some exotic twist, e.g. lime onions, escargot etc. Visually however, the food did not seem as palatable as the name suggested.

I walked in to Todai full of expectation. It was very crowded for a Thursday night. Perhaps everyone are after the oysters (only serve on Tuesday and Thursday)! The oysters are indeed very fresh and big, yummy too. But remember, each person is only entitled for 2 oysters each round. So be patient! One of the chef's recommendation is the beef. The meat quite tender, and the sauce is really good. Thumbs up! To my disappoinment, I don't really enjoy eating prawns here, as they are pretty tasteless.

To my disappoinment, I don't really enjoy eating prawns here, as they are pretty tasteless. Whether they are being grilled, stir-fry or deep-fry, they taste frozen to me.

Luckily the desserts are quite impressive, especially the icy persimmon. Huge surprise that the icy sweet fruit is melting in your mouth. Awesome!

The voucher cost $45 nett per person, 30% off it's original price of $64. We were pretty sold out when Todai is also known as Mother of all Seafood Buffets. There was a large range of sushi which we only picked a few to eat.

We were expecting to taste a wide range of seafood but only to my disappointment. The range of seafood was smaller than we thought - The shelled seafood wasn't very fresh and had a hinge weird taste. The server had the blocks of salmon, tuna and swordfish on the chopping boards almost throughout the night as there were always requests for shashimi. We do like the fact that shashimi was only sliced when customers requested, but it also meant that the shashimi was not served chilled.

Nevertheless, Todai had a wide range of cooked food which were better than the seafood section. Pasta and noodles were prepared upon request; tasted quite ok. Dim sum were really bad with thick, chewy skin and dried ingredients in it. Dessert was quite ok but its cakes were rather off beat. I loved its beverage section the most, lol ~ unlimited flow of hot and cold drinks ;p

There are certainly hit and misses in Todai but we wouldn't visit again if there is no discount.

I felt really happy with this restaurant because I could taste the authentic Korean marinated seafood, it has squid, baby oyster, fish roe and clam, they were raw and hardly could find it here, though they weren’t common food we consumed, at last I could taste it. Another food is Korean炸醬麵, finally I could taste it here, they used authentic Korean noodle.

MBS is our first visit today, the shopping mall seems a bit big to us, we almost lost our way to the restaurant. We reached there just in time, they started to let us in, some of the service crews standing at the entrance greeted us, they greeted in Korean. We were led to our seats, along the way, chefs would greet us too. When I made the booking over the phone, they reminded me there was a 10% discount in July as well as we sat down in the restaurant, they reminded us again.

We were happy with their food choices and variety, comprises of cold dishes, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Korean, fruits and desserts. I especially like their cooked food isn’t contain msg, it is a +! Their oyster is freshly open and serve, it tastes sweet. Snow crab legs refill from time to time, no lack of supply. Last but not least, one of my favourite fruit Lychee was serving no stop, they were fresh, sweet and juicy, I have 20 fruits!

We agree that the price they charge is reasonable. Service is good, service crews are polite, they clear our plates as soon as we finish our food. Overall experience was good and happy. We will return if I longer for authentic unique Korean marinated seafood.

However, the sushi are excellent. There are many varieties of sushi and they all taste yummy. The chefs will make over the counters and we can see the open concept kitchen for all dish counters.

For the last few times that I went, I always get to see Koreans having their meals there, they seem to enjoy the Korean food very much. There is a Korean food section where grilled food and the Korean side dishes are being offered. There is even Ginseng tempura!

Another special thing to mention is the grilled meat section, where you can just pick the type of meat and let the chef grilled them for you. The grilled mushroom was scrumptious, I had never had that before! (see photo attached)

I also like the laksa, and I will eat it with the snow crab leg meat. The crayfish cooked in chiili crab kind of gravy was the most popular dish over there, every time it is dished out, in a few minutes, they will be gone! They taste so great! There are many other dishes that I could not be able to list all here, even the beverage section has a lot of variety, and I prefer the hot green tea.

One thing to note, all the few times I go, I will end up having slight diarrhea after the meals… hence be careful of the food you eat there… this might just be a coincidence.

The Korean food was really good, the bulgogi was nicely marinated. The sushi spread was amazing. They had many sushi which you have never seen before. They would specially slice the raw salmon and fish for you so as to maintain its freshness. They had a lot of crabs, oysters and prawns. Really delicious!
