My first visit and it is really a great experience! The place is full with people. We had steamboat bbq. The food is amazingly fresh. Scallops and prawns were sweet and delicious. The beef are fresh as well. There are many huge chunk of white cubes at the corner of the plate. It is actually pork's fats to grease the pan before barbequing. The good thing about here, you can choose to bbq your food or have it cooked in the soup.

Had Tom Yum Kungfu with my family for dinner! We ordered the Thai Mango Salad, which was very delicious. The fresh slices of mango when mixed together with chili padi and crunchy peanut served as an excellent appetizer. It was so crunchy and juicy, while the mango was deliciously sweet. Yummy! Was so satisfied with the great salad!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted with the warm, cosy and homely environment. I could see the paintings and CDs being displayed on the wall. Also, I did notice some dessert menu items being painted onto the stone wall with flower motifs. I love the ambience of the restaurant as I love the warm lights with Chinese red lanterns together with the Thai songs playing over the speakers.First up, one of their specialty, Fresh Mango Salad ($6). Don’t be fooled by this humble-looking dish.

First up, one of their specialty, Fresh Mango Salad ($6). Don’t be fooled by this humble-looking dish. The freshness of the green mango, carrot slice, onions, roasted peanuts, cashew nuts, chili padi with their special tangy, sweet and sour sauce, it simply packs an incredible punch!! The combination of the taste, texture and crunch from the salad, nuts and sauce sure did spice things up!

As the name of this restaurant, Tom Yam Kungfu, suggested Tom Yam to me… I thought to myself, “hey, why not try their Tom Yam soup?” So, I ordered another of their house specialty, Clear Tom Yam Seafood Soup ($7) to give it a try at their Tom Yam to taste if it really packs some kungfu in it.

I was surprise at how big the portion it was when it was being served!! I thought that I had ordered a medium or big size but it turns out to be a small size. I can’t imagine this is small as it’s seriously more than enough to serve two person.

It’s the restaurant’s very own signature dish, the Kungfu Fried Rice ($8). So what is so kungfu about this fried rice which must be wrapped up in an omelette? May I have the honor to karate chop (yes! you will need kungfu skills to eat this) the omelette and let’s find out what lies beneath.

After I did the karate chop, gold spill out from beneath the omelette. Jasmine rice fried with Thai sambal, basil leaves, chili slices and prawns. Just close your eyes and imagine the aroma in the air and the hot smoke coming out from it. It’s pure heavenly and the spices added so much life to a boring fried rice. The prawns were so sweet and tender. I can only say that this is simply delicious!!

After such a wonderful and great dinner. I realize how much weight I’ve put on. It’s time to do some Kungfu fighting!! Sings “everybody was kungfu fighting!! hey hah!!”

Went back twice in a week! So what are you waiting for?
