Very bad service, super slow, servers were not responsive, had to wait forever for our soup and ask a few of them, answer were the same, let me check and get back to you. Of course after another 20-30 mins, no one came back and finally we said we want to cancel, one server came out and just lied, said chef is cooking, but we waited for the soup for over a hour and every other dish was already gone and still cooking? Just a kimchi soup? Never recommend this restaurant to anyone and will never go

Tried Tomo's curated Izayaka-inspired Chinese New Year set menu. I must say the ambience is really relax and cozy, that must be why there are always plenty of Japanese drinking there. They have really some interesting dishes but not all are of quality worthy. Such as their Unagi appears to be very rubbery and it's not one of the best I have tried in Singapore, probably it's not kept warm when served.

On the other hand, Salmon and White Meat Fish Yu Sheng is one of their innovation where it is stacked in layers. That is worth trying, something different from the usuals. My other favourite is Tenderly Braised Pork Soft Rib Bone with Japanese Rice Cake, super soft and the meat falls off the bone almost effortlessly. Oh the desserts is a must try! It's pretty close to the ones I had in Japan.

Spacious place, and able to opt for tatami seats, it also has live band on certain days. They have a wide selection for food and drinks. But if you are looking at noodles and rice, it is no more than two full pages.Miso Nikomi Udon ($15.50). Soup is not too salty, and udon is cooked just nice. Salmon Sushi ($8.00) with a little wasabi in it.Wakadori Sansyou Yaki ($14.50). Grilled chicken with Japanese sansyou pepper, that comes with somewhat taste like mashed potato. Shitake Mentai Cheese ($7.50)

They have a wide selection for food and drinks. But if you are looking at noodles and rice, it is no more than two full pages.

Miso Nikomi Udon ($15.50). Soup is not too salty, and udon is cooked just nice. Salmon Sushi ($8.00) with a little wasabi in it.

Wakadori Sansyou Yaki ($14.50). Grilled chicken with Japanese sansyou pepper, that comes with somewhat taste like mashed potato. Shitake Mentai Cheese ($7.50). Despite having cheese on top, it isn't cheesy though.

Tsukune Teriyaki ($6.50). Compared with Tori-Q, I would actually prefer the latter, as their meat ball is too mushy.

Generally, their food are ok, but lacking of the "yummy" factor. The food is not worth the value, in my opinion.

My first time to this Japanese restaurant after hearing many raves. I had their Onsen Tamago which is soft boiled egg with Japanese soy sauce. It is very delicious. Cold, smooth and fresh! One of this is $3. Pretty on the high end for just an egg. Else i would not hesitate to order more. My main is tempura soba. It is normal. Nothing fanciful to be honest. The tempura is fresh and crispy, noodle is soft and abit bland in my opinion.

I went with a group of friends around one year ago for our christmas celebration. We don't really want the crowds at Orchard area so we have chosen to celebrate our christmas at Clarke Quay and decided to dine at Tomo Izakaya. The ambience was really good and we really like the cosy environment and the spaciouness of the restaurant. The food was good too but maybe slightly below my expectations and the food over there is quite expensive because all food are ala carte items, they does not come in

Compare with other Japanese restaurant, the food is quite authetic and the quality of food is quite good. Its a nice dining experience over there.
