For mains, we shared the Baked Lasagna with Bolognese and Bechamel (SGD$19.90) - tender layers of minced beef ragu enclaved between layers of cheese and pasta, a sticky and chewy delight, teasing the palate with rich flavors and texture.

Then we also had a Ravioli Al Funghi (SGD$24.90) - pretty, scallop-shaped ravioli bursting with cheese , tossed in a delicious cream sage sauce. There were at least two types of mushrooms spotted, adding to the dish the distinctive sweetness of mushrooms. The ravioli was taut and once bitten in, the melting cheese exploded in the mouth. This was a fabulous selection.

For dessert, we shared an Apple Crumble (SGD$9.90) - a delicious bowl of fresh apple cubes, rocks of pastry and a large scoop of vanilla ice-cream. It was warm and tasty, not too sweet, with the large rocks of crunchy crusts adding bite and flavor to the whole dessert overall.

Alfresco Dining Concept was adopted here and the area was near to the common walkways in the mall, I would say those who visit Somerset 313 will never fail to pass by this corner especially when it is a little distance away from the escalator. For those who enjoy the crowd, this place is bustling. However if you want somewhere quiet for a chat, it's not that ideal as I had to raised my voice in my conversation.

The menu of Trattoria was rather creative as they tied a booklet with a white chopping board as it base. The Italian menu was quite understandable as the menu has English elaborations on the dishes available. Though so, it took us quite sometimes to order as I'm still very "green" to italian main dish except for pizzas.

Beverages served were relatively fast thus allowing us to make ourselves comfortable and settle down for some good chats while waiting for the mains.

The Calamari rings we had as starters were not too bad just that the color was abit far more than expected. The fresh squid rings were coated in their in-house batter, deep fried and served with tartar sauce, a perfect choice as Antipasti while waiting for the mains.
Calamari Frutti - $13.90

The main was a disaster for me, regretted totally in ordering such dish. I had a "tough" fight with the chicken for the whole meal with my fork and knife. Perhaps the only portion I like was its top in Tomato and Cheese only while the rest was below par. I'm simply shocked with the kind of standard, meat was very tough and some portions were too crispy to be bitten.
Grilled Chicken Breast with mixed grilled vegetables and garlic oil dressing - $21.90

The experienced we had in terms of service received was not up to standards. Servers were rather rude. Initially we had two tables to ourselves but in the midst of enjoying our conversation and dinner, the server walked up and interrupted mentioning that the table will be taken away in a abrupt manner without any apologies. Attentiveness is also lacking in area.

There are alot of room for improvement on their service and food.

Finally, I ordered my favourite Pasta. Basically the gravy stirred along was in strong fragrance of garlic and chilli peppers. Notch-top freshness of Salmon when my first taste, it certainly fulfilled all criteria I want. Noodle was bouncy and utterly healthy with the olive oil added, finest luxury enjoyment. Portion wise, it was too delicious thus not enough for me. Overlooking the whole, Trattoria was a gem of Italian Restaurant and everything was satisfied.

I ordered linguine vogole ($18.50) and it arrived relatively fast. However although the noodle was meant to be al dente, i find it a little bit too hard. Slightly softer texture would be perfect as the clams serving was generous and the overall taste is rather delicious.

What's life without dessert right? I ordered tiramisu ($7.50) which come in a ramekin. It was dusted with some chocolate powder and topped with some berry compote. Overall it tasted good as it is creamy but not too rich and best of all it wasn't too sweet.

Overall I like the food here and the ambiance here is rather inviting for me. However service here is almost non existence although 10% service charge is payable beside GST. So if you don't mind almost no service and crave for some Italian food, food here is quite decent and affordable.

The staff recommended Profiteroles $8.20 which is an awesome choice.Choux pastry puff filled with chantilly cream and topped with melted chocolate sauce.Served in 3servings and totally delicious. The chocolate sauce was rich and the puff is very soft and yummy.

The serving time is fast and within 15minutes.The staff was friendly too.i would drop by some other day to try other courses.

Started the lunch with Salmon, my favorite food. I order a medium done Grilled Fillet of Salmon with sun-dried tomato and pine nut sauce @ $21.80. It's actually fresh grilled salmon with salad and sauce. The fish is tender and one bite you know you are in for a treat. However the pine nut sauce is tard oily for my taste. I would prefer eating the fillet on its own. Its base is coated with  tomato sauce similar to spaghetti, absolutely tasty. We chose the Profiteroles @ $8.20 - Choux pastry pastry

The iced chocolate was also lovely as it was rich and not diluted like most places (which tends to happen with cold beverages). Staff were also very friendly and service was prompt. I enjoyed every single bite and look forward to coming here again!

Good ambience in this place to have a meal with your loved ones. However, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. Ordered the Crabmeat Linguine. The linguine had a "rubber band" texture and it was really not enjoyable eating it! It came to a point where I only ate the bits of crabmeat hidden all over the linguine, and abandoned the linguine. Not a place I will visit again after the above experience, till I have courage to attempt other dishes on its menu.

It is very packed and totally no peace for its open concept. Definitely good to attract customers but too noisy. The appetiser, fried squid and pasta are bland, totally bland. Pastamania can whip up a tastier pasta!Only food that saved the day is 'gigantic curry puff pizza' - i forgot it's original name ;p tasty crust with the right level of crunchiness combined with softness. I forgot about the fillings too .. hee ...Anyway, the filling is not important as I will not return in near future.

Went to Trattoria - Italian Kitchen yesterday for dinner.
We wanted to eat pasta & decided to go there to try.
The restaurant was pretty crowded.
The ambience was relaxing & the service was good.
One of the waitress actually asked us if we wanted chilli flakes & tobasco sauce for our pasta which we gladly said yes.

We both ordered Seafood Marinara which was $19.90 & a coke light.
Total bill amounted to $52.00.

Pasta was great.Sauce was good.
But one thing we felt disappointed was the mussels they use.
For the price we paid,I thought we would be given big green shell mussels but we were given the black mussels which were of poorer quality.

Nonetheless,we enjoyed the meal.
We saw alot of people ordering panini as well as their pizza!
The pizza looks delicious!
Will order pizza on our next visit there!
Portion wise was big.
Being regular buffet lover in the past.
The portion was really filling.
The pasta has prawns,vongola calms,mussels & sotong.

Really yummy!

Will definitely go back again.
