I was a bit hesitant when my friend suggested going to this buffet restaurant as I had read bad reviews about them. As my friend had already bought some groupon vouchers and made reservation with the hotel restaurant, we just went ahead anyway.

We were greeted by a hospitable filipino lady, there was always smile on her face.

My friend had requested seats along the glass panel and we were lead to our requested seats by another lady restaurant staff.

The lady said:" Enjoy your meal." with a smile before she went back to the front counter.

Ice water was served the moment we sat down.

As usual, I would attack the salmon sashimi first. There were salmon belly which I love.
The salmon tasted fresh and sweet, yummy!

There were indian food, western food, teppanyaki, just to name a few cooking station.

For the Indian food, I had naan with mutton curry. The naan is warm with a bit crispy outer layer , I had this with the mutton curry. I would say the mutton curry was carefully prepared,so...tasty!

For the western food, I had a slice of roast beef. The roast beef was tender, my friend who is a food critic commented that they used tenderloin for the roast. There were mustard and other sauces to go with the beef too.

There were squid, fish slices and beansprouts fried with dou miao (豆苗)at the teppanyaki section, the beansprouts fried with dou miao were so popular that many diners were queuing up for them.

I particularly loved the salmon quiche, it was slighly bigger than the size of a one dollar coin. I enjoyed this so much that i forgot to take the picture!

My stomach was already full tank after eating all that, but I still find space to squeeze in somemore desserts with a cup of coffee. I liked the. passion fruit mousse served in a small glass, full of passion fruit scent and tasted sour-sweet. The cream caramel was good too.

The ice water was refilled without us asking and the plates were cleared away quickly.

As yesterday was mother's day, each of us was given an ang ku kueh as a gift before we left the restaurant.

Although this restaurant does not serve oysters or cold crab legs for weekday lunch, I find that the food was of high quality, well worth every cent that we paid for.

Strongly recommend everyone out here to try these 2 items if you happen to eat their buffet. Two thumbs up!

Came here for the buffet lunch after buying the coupon from groupon on a weekend. I was having high hopes of having some good food here but to my disappointment, the spread was rather limited. There wasnt much to choose from and there were queues at the various stations. The only dish i like was the duck, it was so nice!!! I had three servings of it. The desserts were also not very fantastic, but i am lucky that i didn't pay the full price of the buffet.

Triple Three at Mandarin Orchard is famous for its buffet. I bought the vouchers from Groupon to try the buffet. I came with an expectation but this expectation did not meet by the standard of the buffet spread. Everything from the starters to desserts are quite limited. For someone that got a sweet tooth, their desserts are so disappointing. After tried most of the foods, there is nothing worth to recommend. I do not think i am coming back.

I will think twice to go back for buffet after this experience. The varieties of dishes are not value for the money. Their appetiser, cooked foods, japanese and desserts have very limited selection. Their desserts were especially pathetic. The selection of cakes are less than 5. Taste wise, disappointing too. I did not expect such standard from Triple Three. I am somehow very glad that i did not pay the full price for the buffet.

LIARs.

Creamy Prawn Penne Pasta (Prawn is very fresh and Q~~~)

Salmon Sashimi (Fresh), Korean Kimchi (So-so, not crunchy enough)

their famous Roasted Duck (Yummy, taste even better with the sweet clear sauce)

French Long Bean (Love it), Japanese Takoyaki Ball (not bad, it's not often you see international buffet serves these), and German Sausage (Nice, chewy)

Roasted Turkey with Cranberry sauce (available during x'mas season)

Indian Curry and mutton with Roti Prata

Fresh Salad with Thousand Island Dressing (wide range of vegetables and salad dressing available at their salad bar.

All sort of desserts from their dessert bar (overall are quite nice)

Picture not shown.
Japanese Tori Karaage with Wedges

So sorry did not review their seafood spreads, since i am not very into seafood. One thing about their Teppanyaki counter is that you need to stand there and queue for it for like 10-15mins just to have the choice of squids or beef slice with beansprout...

reason i will go there if only there is groupon sale again. but remember to read the terms and conditions since the the coupon is excluding the service charges and GST!

It will be good to reserve the seat along the window panel so that you can look down to the orchard road.

My first visit to Triple Three was a disappointing one.

I sent in an email about 2 weeks ago to make a reservation for today and someone called me upon received of the email to confirm my reservation. They did not seem to have a record of my reservation when i was there for lunch on that particular day but they were flexible enough to arrange for a table immediately.

Upon seated down, our glasses left empty for about 15 minutes or so before a waiter came over to fill them up with water.

The selection for appetiser was pretty limited. I skipped the green salad but went for the smoked salmon. The smoked salmon got snapped up pretty fast. The potato salad was a disappointment. The cold prawns were a nice choice but the mussels and the sliced ham tasted just fine.

The mains were as boring as well. The fried fish stated under the Chef's speciality did not manage to leave an impression. The turkey dish was passable too. These 2 dishes seemed to be the only cooked dish to have it with the steamed rice. There were fried chicken, calamari rings, roasted duck etc. The teppanyaki and pasta served upon order.

They served salmon sashimi and sushi, too. I personally enjoyed the sashimi quite a bit. It tasted really fresh particularly after added in the lemon juice.

The selection of pastries was rather limited too. I enjoyed the brownies amongst others. The rest failed to develop a liking. And, i did not expect to see the canned longan with Sea Coconut as dessert. It is such a convenience choice and I honestly did not expect to see it as part of the buffet lunch in such an exquisite hotel.

There were coffee stations that served quality coffee, expresso and even cuppuccino for self-service.

We paid a total of $80.05 for 2 pax inclusive of GST and Service Charge using the Groupon Vouchers. Though we paid a discounted price to have lunch there but we did not get the value for what we paid. Sadly, this was one of the worst buffets that i had to reckon a return.

It's like a maze and you have to walk round and round to get to the buffet and then round and round to get to your table again. The decor of the hotel was pretty nice though. And the shops around the hotel made us forget how bad the buffet was.

Service: Poor. Took 20 minutes to get any water. Was asked if we had a reservation eventhough we were told when we rang that we didn't need a reservation for less than 5 people. No one talks to you much. They had a Russian girl who tried to push drinks unsuccessfully.

Value: Terrible! We were told it would be $45+ each. Turned out to be $65++ each! There wasn't that much food at all. It's actually the worst buffet-at-a-hotel that we've been to.

Food: Very basic offerings. Seafood station had no oysters or scallops. Only half cooked mussels which tasted awful. There's smoked salmon and smoked snow cod (which is totally weird for such a delicate fish). There's raw sashimi but only the salmon sashimi was passable. The tuna wasn't that fresh. There's baked escargots in pastry. The pastry was ridiculous and broke when you picked it up. The dim sum was terrible. The chawanmushi was passable. There's a carvery, some ala minute stuff, some stir fries, tempura, large bowl of fruits, ice creams (you have to be served the ice cream - cannot self serve), cheeses (very bad camembert - overripe and going off), not much breads, no butters.

The dessert bar is alright with nonya kuehs and cakes and pastries. Nothing memorable at all.

Seriously, for this price, we'd rather go to 10@ Claymore, Olive Tree, CafeBiz or even Zenden!

There isn't even a coffee bar. If you want tea or coffee you have to ask someone. And it's coffee that been stewing there, waiting, not freshly brewed. The lack of a drinks station to get your own tea, coffee, juice or water is just beneath such a renowned hotel!

Not recommended! We went there on a weekend. The variety is sparse, the presentation unappealing, the taste very average and substandard, the quality just passable. The lighting was terrible and dark. The seating arrangement was a joke.

Newly renovated at Orchard Road, this easy accessible hotel is an ideal venue for gathering with friends and family to have a nice relaxing meal. Was surprised by the nice cosy environment when we stepped into the restaurant. Service here are qualified under their 'five stars' category. Will definitely visit another time Food is also up to standard too. My verdict: 7.5/10

The Chef accomodates to all food requests from Teppanyaki mixed vegetables to Teppanyaki Prawns and beef. No wonder there's a perpetual queue in front of the cooking station. The buffet also includes:

1)Chinese food

2) Fresh seafood like prawns, oysters, mussels

3) Japanese food like soba, chawanmushi

4) Cooked food

5) Fried Spring rolls, crabmeat, prawn, potato wedges

6) Salads

7) Create your own Pasta

8) Dessert like ice creams and cakes

For the usual price of $62++, I would advise to wait for dining or credit card promotions that features 1-1 deals, otherwise, one may find it a little overpriced.

Now, let's talk about the food. The feature of triple three is "temupura, sukiyaki, and fried noodle". This three type of food are serving fresh. the rest of food is nomoral, can have them at any hotel. I'm sad with there is less type of fruit and dessert, and refill very slow.
I'm shock when I buy the bill, S$85/person!!! It's very expensive, at other hotel this price can have more type of food than here, like lobster.
So I'm not sure wether I will come back, but it enviroment is vey good, I like it.
