My friend and I are walking around Raffles City when we spotted this small stall opposite Cedele. It sells takoyaki and taiyaki and being taiyaki lovers, we decided to get a taiyaki each. There are savoury fillings like ham and cheese and sweet fillings like custard and red bean. I got the red bean pancake which costs $1.80. My friend got the custard which is also priced at $1.80. As there are already spare taiyakis made beforehand, we got our taiyakis immediately. The taiyaki is already cooled,

As there are already spare taiyakis made beforehand, we got our taiyakis immediately. The taiyaki is already cooled, but the exterior is still rather crispy. The pancake is comparatively thinner and this will make a light snack as it does not occupy too much stomach space. I quite like the red bean filling as it is moist and not too overly sweet. That said, I would prefer Tai Parfait’s taiyaki over this.

Last week while having classes there,we saw gindaco so we bought the takoyaki with eggs sauce on top, usually i will order the original,i didn't realize that they have it in egg, which was quite interesting The eggs goes well with the takoyaki balls, but it would be better if they provide spoon,as stick was quite hard to scoop up those eggs,The outer layer of the balls was crispy, inside the tako was a bit hard to chew, waiting time was quite fast for this outlet, took less than 5mins

gindaco has good Takoyaki balls. This is my first time trying them and I was not disappointed the balls were light and not too heavy, with generous octopus pieces inside. The whole thing was topped off with generous squirts of mayonnaise and brown takoyaki sauce(savoury and complex tasting) which took the dish To a whole new level, adding a new flavour dimension to the dish, and complementing the otherwise flat tasting batter very well.

The stall not only sells takopachi balls, they also sell the Japanese Fish Pancake. I like their Japanese Fish Pancake, it is chewy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. I ordered the custard flavor. it was not too sweet. the outside does not have any sweetness so the filling can compensate on the sweetness. The filling is very smooth and very nice to eat together with the outside pastry. it was quite warm when they served me.
