Alas, was sold out by 2 pm and had to settle with plain horfun + prawn wanton soup as didn't like crayfish. The order was served fast within 7 mins after ordering but had to queue behind 3 people before ordering.

Soup had a strong prawn smell but otherwise bland as I believe the stallholder didn't add other seasoning. There were 5 wantons in the soup. Each wanton only had a large prawn each with a little fish paste to hold the wanton skin together. Fresh but nothing to rave about as taste very bland without seasoning.

Horfun was heated in hot water and had some brown sauce with two kailan leaves. Nothing special in taste.

Disposable utensils were used to serve the food but glad that there wasn't additional charge of $0.50 imposed on takeaway orders (same disposable chopsticks and spoon used, just the translucent container is different from dine-in).

Price is reasonable for the prawns used considering that prawns costs more nearing cny. But will not make another visit as not outstanding in terms of taste.

This is one of the popular stalls at Hong Lim Food Complex and I heard that the queue starts forming once the owner opens his stall at 11am! They are so popular that it closes around 3pm! This is one of those dish that you could never get sick of eating again and again.

I have been seeing many online reviews raving about how good this hor fun is and there is almost always a queue for it. I decided to ask my friend along one day to try it for myself. When we located the stall on the 2nd level, it just started operating but there were already 2 people in front of us. I ordered a 'abalone mushroom and prawn horfun' which costed $4. The horfun was of those Ipoh kind- thin and smooth. The gravy was quite thick and has a strong seafood umami taste to it. 3 medium sized prawns sliced into 6 parts and about 3 thick slices of abalone mushroom were served on top. I find it really value for money. The prawns and mushroom were really fresh. There was also some spring onions and shallots served at the side. Mixing everything together, the dish was quite gooey, but tasty.

FYI, as we were ordering and eating, a long queue has started to form. Do arrive early or be prepared to queue.

This stall has been around for the longest time. It has always been the place whenever i am hit by the crave for the Ipoh stye Sah Hor Fun. A good portion of smooth and fine hor fun was served with fresh tasting crayfish and prawns. It tasted really fresh that i could even taste the natural sweetness of it. The hor fun was served in their special braised sauce. When tossed it well, a delicious plate of sar hor fun awaits. Long queue can be anticipated during lunch and weekends.

In comparison with other Ipoh hor fun with chicken and prawn, Tuck Kee certainly impresses with the special use of crayfish. I will definitely return for more.

The queue for the food at this stall is always long, and as you can tell, plenty of accolades to tell you how good the food is. And here's the Crayfish Hor Fun (without the gravy). This costs $6.50 (additional 50 cents for takeaway). You may consider it expensive, but just look at how those prawns and crayfish cover the hor fun till all you get is a GLIMPSE of the hor fun. The prawns are peeled for you (can't mention how much I love this gesture), and the crayfish is bursting with meat. The seaf
