I really love their macarons because each and everyone of them is actually infused with tea flavouring that makes it very special.

Although it's rather pricey, but worth it! (:

One of my favourite places is definitely TWG as it serves one of the finest tea. Having an afternoon hightea at TWG is definitely luxurious. The macarons are not too bad as well with slight taste of their tea series (the macarons were on the house). On the other hand, the molten lava cake just tasted a little normal and slightly overpriced. The serving was a little small too. Personally, i felt that TWG is a real good place for high tea however it is considered to be slightly expensive.

After dinner, my friend and I decided to have tea and small dessert at TWG. I ordered a chocolate peppermint tea. The caramel flavor was kind of too sweet for my liking though.

What I can say was nothing fantastic, common taste without any surprise. Luckily, we came here after a proper lunch, the portion was a little smaller than we expected. Sauce was appropriate by the way, with seafood fragrant and pieces of squids were found. I was still prefer their hi-tea dessert instead of main course, sorry to comment it was a rarely disappoint.

They do not have a very extensive food menu, so I decided to try the Lobster Timbale ($28) - a towering cylinder of juicy marinated lobster meat tossed with avocado and intricately served on a bed of spinach shoots, arranged to look like a blooming flower.

The unique selling point about the food at TWG is that it uses tea to enhance the flavours and compliment the food. For the Lobster Timbale, the vinaigrette is infused with TWG's Love Me Tea which is a fine green tea imbued with lime blossoms and verbena (a type of flower).

Not only was the lobster meat very fresh and chewy, the texture of the avocado complimented the dish very well too. There is not much flavouring added to it so you get full the natural goodness of the lobster meat.

Since I was already having lunch there, why not try some their teas too? So I asked one of their smartly dressed staff to recommend a white tea that would go well with my meal. He was very helpful and suggested that I try the White Secret Tea ($23.50) which comes in TWG's signature shiny golden teapot.

TWG's Secret White Tea consists of a blend of YinZhen White Tea (literally means 'Silver Needle White Tea') which originates from the Fujian province in China and is one of the highest grade of white teas available. One whiff of the tea is like a summer breeze across a meadow of flowers in bloom. It has a fruity note and even after a couple of sips, the refreshing taste of the tea still lingers on your palate. Nothing like I've every tried before and it's definitely worthy to be named as one of the "most prized teas" in China. =]

To end off my indulgent meal, I decided to order a freshly baked Strawberry Tart ($9.50). The sweet scent of strawberries accented by the fruity aroma of the Secret White Tea is simply a pairing made in heaven. Though the crust of the tart is not as crumbly as I would have liked it to be, the strawberries were definitely of good quality.

Overall, quality ingredients are definitely the main highlight of the food at TWG and having all your dishes infused with tea is an interestingly refreshing experience for your taste buds. My only gripe about the place is that the ambiance is too posh for my liking and can get a little suffocating and formal. But nonetheless, it was a great experience!

I bought 6 macarons of different flavors which included Napoleon tea and caramel, Earl Grey fortune chocolate, Bain de rose tea, macha , vanilla bourdon tea and kaya and Grand wedding tea with passion fruit. Interesting fact about TWG Tea is all the food here are infused with tea in one way or another. Personally I find the macarons here too sweet for my liking. However among the 6, I like Bain de rose the most as it has a very strong aromatic rose smell.

Passed by TWG and was attracted by the many flavours of macarons available (10 in total). It's also surprisingly affordable at around $12 for a box of 6. I had the 1837 black tea & blackcurrant one (tea taste not distinct, had a very sweet berry taste); the Napolean Tea & Caramel (forgettable); the Earl Grey Fortune & Chocolate (earl grey taste distinct, masked by chocolatey taste), etc. The two I would recommend is the Moroccan Mint Tea if you like a slight minty taste, and also the Grand Weddi

Got this Longevity Tea from TWG as a gift; it's supposedly good to pair it with mooncakes. It's actually white tea, and has a "raw and crystalline flavour, sparkling and fresh". I would say that it's very smooth tasting, clear, and has a distinct fragrance and after-taste. It's indeed good to pair it with mooncakes, and avoid adding sugar to the tea to taste it's natural flavour.

The interesting thing about TWG macarons that set them apart from the rest of the normal macarons is their unique flavours. These macarons have tea inspired flavours. One of my favourite is the moroccon mint flavoured macaron which is really refreshing from the minty taste. This macaron really tastes like the tea! And it is really fun to eat the macaron and drink the same flavour of tea!

Not feeling satisfied, I needed some sugar rush and so ordered some macaroons.

The TWG Macaroon shells are really crisp and crumbly outside, but moist and chewy inside, with a thick tasty filling.

If you have a sweet tooth, you surely will like their macaroons

Went there on a Sunday afternoon for a girly high tea with my friend.Nice ambience and patient wait staff. We ordered this orange blossom apricot cake and chocolate pear cake. Both did not disappoint. The orange blossom cake had soft and tangy orange curd topping. The mousse was melt-in-mouth. The chocolate pear cake was dark chocolate. Rich, yet not too heavy to finish the cake. For more, read my blog at http://efatrie.blogspot.sg/2013/04/twg-again-and-another-muffin-recipe.html

TWG is one of those safe places to go for a spot of tea in the day. The wide selection of tea will satisfy any type of tea lovers plus they have pretty good desserts to match. I tried the Fruit Valley something tea. Can't remember the exact name but as the name suggest, it's fruity and slightly tart which is good if you are eating a very sweet dessert. Bought a set of six macarons (caeme with a box). Really love them! Especially liked the Napoleon Tea & Caramel, it was the staff recommendation too. The sweetness was just right and the taste was thick and nice. Had the Black Tea & Blackcurrant flavour too. It tasted berry-ish and a little sour mixed with sweet. The staff was totally professional and polite to customers too. Overall great experience.
