You could consider this for future team events! 

For the buffet! I had the waffles which were already pre made for us rather than made to order since there was 25 of us. The waffles were still crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside but I found the waffle abit too salty. 


The marikita49 and santasSecret was yummy! The santasSecret had chunks of gingerbread cookies in there I believe? I could taste it and I needed more! The alcoholic ice creams were a let down as they were too strong and I couldn't taste anything else.. Especially the soursop vodka.. It was so awkward.. I really liked my pistachio and snickers with the megacone even though the snickers was a bit too sweet for my liking since there were chunks of snickers in there.

DURIAN! 
The durian ice creams were that good... It was kind of upsetting. The instructor told us to try to the last because apparently everything else would taste of durian if we went for that first. The durian taste was too suttle and felt floury it just wasn't the right texture.

All in all, my favourite flavours of the 6 are santasSecret and pistachio!!

 Left: Rum Rum Raisin (Premium - Single scoop) - $3.90. The rum was very strong. And did I mention that I dislike everything that contains raisins? Hmm, not my liking hahaha.

Right: Horlicks Balls (Classic - Single scoop) - $3.60. I've been into malt lately. This ice cream has a rich taste of Horlicks. There are also some Maltesers balls inside. Super love!

 Waffle with Cookies & Cream Ice Cream (Classic - Single scoop) - $7.10. Warm and fluffy waffle with real hand-crushed Oreo cookies ice cream and chocolate sauce garnish. Even though I've read some reviews that say Udders' waffle is not good, for me it was a bomb! The waffle was chewy, and the soft, sweet ice cream complemented the waffle perfectly.

Overall, I never get bored to patronize Udders. Their unique creations of ice cream flavors always impress me.

It is a blend of two dark chocolates plus dark chocolate shavings. They say that their maple walnut is made with 100% pure genuine organic maple syrup. I find that it is just nice, not overly sweet and there are large chunky walnuts in it!

We opted for the Chocoholic one -Kit Kat, Awesomely Chocolate and we swapped the Hazelnut for Mars & Snickers Ice cream -this cost $13.50 on top of a waffle, topped with crunchy chocolate balls and a chocolate lined wafer.

 The waffle was crisp on the outside and generally crispy (it isn't the fluffy kind haha) which goes well with the ice cream that is oh-so-creamy and rich. My favourite flavour out of the three goes to the Mars&Snickers Bar hands down -the sweet aromatic vanilla and the crunchy chocolate bar bits were a match made in heaven!! The Awesomely Chocolate flavour was a bit rich for me and a bit (?powdery?). I didn't really like it -overly thick and sweet with no real substance that I could distinctively taste. The kit kat flavour was slightly more interesting, it was an amalgamation of the first two flavours, with a slightly less thick/dense taste while maintaining a slight chocolatey flavour. If you hadn't told me it was kit kat I probably wouldn't have figured though.

For $10.50, it's completely share-able for 2-3 persons, it would cost $13.50 to change one flavour (to another flavour of 'equal value'). The scoops are generous, the waffle is large enough and the presentation is gorgeous too!

 This Udders outlet is just like any other, with chalkboards at the side (they actually have a board for "voting" for which flavours you'd like to have -including pretty interesting suggestions such as Jagerbombs, Moscato and Midori). Service is warm and the whole place has a lovely, personable culture where people can come and chill, enjoying each others' company.

Ps. If you have not tried udders before, you'd want to note that their alcohol infused flavours are REALLY strong, coming from someone who isn't adverse to liquor. The rum & raisin really has a kick such that you feel a slight warmth/burn down your throat when you eat it. Personally i don't like my ice cream and desserts drenched in the booze but if this works for you, you'll LOVE udders!

Mentioned that high quality authentic japanese matcha was used for green tea flavour, it tastes on the average side with mild green tea flavour. I would prefer a richer taste of it. Tira miss u is one of the best sellers which consists of authentic italian mascarpone cheese, brandy, cognac.

The Oreo Cookies hand-crushed with their homemade cookies, quite creamy.
I was quite stunned when I was introduce to "Gila" melaka and had a good laugh about it. Although palm sugar (Gula Melaka) and atap chee are added, the ice cream is full of palm sugar taste and no bits of atap chee is found.

Friendly service received. Staff are rather prompt. As there is limited seatings in house, I have requested the outdoor seats. The responsive staff immediately assist me and set up the tables base on my headcounts.

Ambience
The outdoor seatings are dim as we make use of the street lamps. Close to the roads with the aircon compressor above, its quite dangerous and we have to avoid area where water might be dripping down from the aircon.

This is the total damage of the night by 4 of us!

There are many unique local flavours including Mao Shan wang durian flavour, and gula Melaka which even has atap Chee pieces in each scoop. I chose kit Kat flavour which was rich and chocolate with chunks of kit Kat in it. The waffles are really good too but one thing I dislike about coming to udders it that they are not very clean with stains being visible on chair cushions!

Opps but ohh well, what’s done is done and ice cream at Udders is almost always worth the extra calories.

I know Udders has quite a few outlets across the island and they recently set up a kiosk right smack in my house area, Tampines but I just have a particular preference with their Novena outlet. I don’t know why. Perhaps it’s a nice place to chill with friends and family alike with ice creams of very kind.

But if you do visit any of their parlours, you must try out their alcoholic ice creams like Bailey’s & Bourbon and Rum & Raisins. It’s almost like drinking the liquor itself but I doubt you will ever get drunk from ice creams right? But if you ask me, my personal favourite would have to Tiramisu. I daresay it’s one of the best ice creams I had in my life!

If you can’t take liquor ones, how about sticking to old school ones like Strawberry Fields which has little little strawberry bits that makes the whole licking experience akin to eating the real red berry. Awesomely Chocolate which has chocolate shavings but I thought the rich dark chocolate was too much even for a chocolate fan like me.

 If you like rich and intense flavours like I love my ice creams to be, you might want to give their Alphonso Mango Sobert a chance. Trust me, it’s a choice you will never regret. Most of my friends would know that I’m a great fan of Earl Grey tea and I’ll leap at any chance to try Udder’s Earl Grey. When I was done with mine, all I wished was have another scoop and another and another… That’s how good it was.

Ice Creams at Udders come in 3 categories: Classic, Premium and Connoisseur and if you know your market well, Udders is easily one of the more expensive outlet in town. Unless I have extra cash to spare, I think I will just stick with Tom instead.
