Introduction
Uma Uma prides themselves in using only fresh ingredients, without adding MSG into the food. The broth in Uma Uma Ramen is prepared from only pork bones, whereby its stock is almost clear by simmering the bones for two days. Signature Dishes
Recently the ramen chain has expanded to a second outlet in the newly open Japanese street in Millenia Walk. Besides the usual ramen dishes, it also offers yakitori at night. As chinese new year is coming, the restaurant is offering a new ramen called Yusheng Ramen from 18 Jan to 22 Feb 2016.Yusheng Ramen ($14++)Cucmber, radish, carrot shredded omelette, seaweed, red ginger, spring onion, sesame seeds, salmon & tuna chunks, fried gyoza skin and hakata ramenThe dish was served cold and dry, without the usual soup in it. It looked quite colorful with the different toppings on top. Remember to toss the dish before eating. Felt that it was quite difficult to toss as the shredded vegetables tended to stick together. It was a cold and refreshing dish. The top potion was a bit dry and flavourful, whereas the bottom was quite flavourful with strong sesame oil taste as the dressing was quite watery and tended to stay at the bottom.Overall the food was not bad but the choices was quite limited during the day. More choices as yakitori and cocktails were available at night. Service was not bad with iced water refilled regularly.
