The place is actually not very spacious as there are only a few seats. So it's more suitable for takeaway. Beside sushi, they also serve udon, bento box, and other Japanese food. As it is Ren Ri, Mom decides to buy yu sheng to toss as it as yu sheng with the rest of the family. At first we plan to buy the mini yu sheng, but it is out of stock, so we decide on the some salads instead.Sake Salad ($4.00)Vegetable Salad ($3.00)The salads are served with soyu dressing. When mixed, it tastes quite light and refreshing. The vegetables is crispy and crunchy too. We have fun tossing the salad together. A great replacement for yu sheng.

Ocean of Flavours ($14.80)A new limited edition premium seafood platter available at the outlet. The sesame dressing for the soba is abit too watery. The salmon sashimi seems abit uneven in cut. The sushi rolls are not bad. The salad is quite tasty with a hint of wasabi taste.The set comes with a bowl of hot miso soup. Quite tasty with seaweed and beancurd inside.

I went to Ang Mo Kio Hub Shopping Mall and decided to try out umi sushi, if to compare pricing i think it is a bit expensive for something I can get in NTUC for a cheaper price. This outlet have some dining tables at the side to dine in, but mostly is to take-away. Queue at peak hours is long, but manageable. Bought some sushi to try out, it taste like the normal ones, quite nice. The chawanmushi is too salty, won't be re-ordering again that next time around.

Umi sushi has always been a good option for express Japanese food in the city...Food is kept fresh in the fridge, Cheap Sushi...surprising is FRESH!!Condiments are provided...They are generous with their sauces, wasabi, and chopsticks...There is sufficient, decent seating, or otherwise u could just grab and go...Very convenient...Overall, a good place to get quick and cheap Jap food, for its price, I'd say its a value for dollar spent...

I just happened to be there after lunch and wanted something extra for snack. Different types of sushi are available for selection and they priced it reasonably at $1.70 for 2 pieces for most of the sushi. I picked the Unagi Sushi and California Sushi to go. The ingredients tasted fresh and the texture of the rice was soft as well as not too mushy. The Unagi Sushi tasted pretty good though the California Sushi tasted just average. This is a kiosk outlet which cater for takeaway order. In front of the kiosk, there is a wide selection of sushi for you to choose from. As usual, one of my friend always like to get sushi party tray from sakae.The sushi are then choosen and packed nicely for us!Most of the sushi are rather nice, not too bad and quite fresh actually.

Sushi !! My favourite !! ($9.95)Bought this sushi plate and brought it to east coast park for picnic !! Coz my friends and I were all sushi lovers!! So we had hard time choosing. All of them are equally nice, the salmon was fresh and everything is nicely seasoned. Love the octopus too! crunchy octopus with tasty sauce. And the bean curd skin was nice. One of my favourite too!! After this now I am craving for more now!! ahhh so Hungry!!

The sushi set is quite cheap. One set costs $3.5 after discount at the night (about 9pm they will retag the price to a lower one) I had this as dinner and I think this is already enough for me. The rice was a bit hard coz it was done at the afternoon, but the ingredient was generous in portion so I think it still worth it coz of the price.

This sushi joint has a small area allocated for dining in but I must warn you it is really small. Normally, I would choose a few items and pack it home for meals. Their range of sushi is quite good and the price is reasonable. The ingredients used are fresh. The handroll is very delicious and I love it. The rice used in making the sushi is well flavoured with vinegar. They also sells sets that have been well packed, for example unagi rice set etc. A very convenient stop for takeaways.

The sushi sashimi is very fresh. Got a wide variety of sushi like tuna and salmon sashimi. Love salmon sashimi the most.Doesn't dare to try the octopus sashimi as it looks intimating. Looks hard with holes on it. But overall the sushi is very fresh and tasty. Thumbs up!
