A family cafe in ulu Sembawang, where I live. No aircon for outdoor seats though… anyway just aim for the sofa seats if you wish to sit and chill for long.I totally don’t understand why the menu looks like old school home economics project slides with food pictures and descriptions. I felt like I just read a thick project file. Ahhhhh… I hope they would provide more alluring menus to read. Anyway, I love the appetising soup and those chips! We shared a spring chicken which doesn't taste that good

I totally don’t understand why the menu looks like old school home economics project slides with food pictures and descriptions. I felt like I just read a thick project file. Ahhhhh… I hope they would provide more alluring menus to read.

Anyway, I love the appetising soup and those chips!

We shared a spring chicken which doesn't taste that good. Just too normal. The chilli tasted like chicken rice chilli.

We also had mild spicy buffalo wings. Satay comes along with it too. I would say it's normal taste but the ketupat is soft and good.

Overall food so-so but good for ambience dining as it’s very lively & vibrant.

Don't be misled by the word "Pub" because at Woody's, it's not just a wonderland for drinkers. In fact, it's a GREAT place for foodies who crave for something to spice up their life! You don't wanna miss out on their Peranakan Fusion Cuisine! The average price range per diner is around $30+ so don't forget to check your wallets before you head out! But despite the rather high prices, their dishes are all served in GENEROUS portions so you don't have to worry about leaving the cafe in search for a late night supper. Trust me, your tummy WILL be satisfied! Oh, & what's more, their dishes are freshly cooked by the owners themselves so if authenticity is what you're looking for, well, they've got it!

When the food started rolling onto the table, i sensed my jaw loosen in awe. i guess the rarity of this place is really all in the menu, bcos it is probably considered taboo that a peranakan joint would serve anything else other than peranakan food. there was a good mix, and i'll make special mention for the ones that make me salivate as i recollect my thoughts for this review.Devil's Curry Chicken (level 2) - very good taste & fragrance, and i give it the thumbs up bcos of the softened yet flav

Devil's Curry Chicken (level 2) - very good taste & fragrance, and i give it the thumbs up bcos of the softened yet flavorful bittergourd, while the chicken was cooked just nice, where the meat comes off the bones intact. as for the spice factor, i hardly broke a sweat while eating, while the spice kicks in slowly on the after taste. if toast was complimentary, i'd probably clean up the bowl.
