I've heard many people rave about their food and everytime I walk past the stall I'll also see alot of people eating the big slabs of chicken, fish etc, so I thought I'd give this stall a try again (even though I had their chicken chop before but didn't think much of it).I ordered the chicken chop again this time. The chicken chop was indeed huge, but it was a little dry and not juicy like how it's supposed to be. Definitely won't be getting this next time but may still try their other food.

During the lunch hours, the plates and plates of attention catching western food that comes with enormous portion is a scene stealer in the hawker, especially when the aroma hits you when the helpers served were serving to the desinated tables.

The chicken was well marinated with western herbs and coated with black pepper and brown sauce. Do not be deceived by the picture below, there is actually another slab of chicken under the top piece of chicken chop. Besides having a big filling piece of chicken, what i like best is its coleslaw. The milky fragrant and crunchy bite which is soothing to the throat.

While the baked beans were more towards the ordinary taste, we had noticed its fries was of better grade when we packed the food home. As I was staying about an hour journey away from Bukit Merah, their fries did not turn out to be soggy when I reach home which I thought is good.

The sausages were another starring items on its menu besides their Chicken Chop, Chicken Cutlet and Fish & Chips . The glossy looking sausage which is about 20cm in length was meaty and burst of cheese once you sink your teeth into it.

There were 2 Wow Wow West in Bukit Merah Area, one is located in 85 Redhill market while the other is in Brickworks.

All in all, I will recommend this place for western food lover for its pocket friendly and value for money portion.

Even though, I went during lunch hours and crowded but their service quite fast as I waited for around 10mins. Overall, the food & service is good & is a must try for all western food lovers!

Wow Wow West used to be based in Bukit Merah View Market and Food Centre and is famous because the owner hired ex-convicts to work at the store, providing them a means of livelihood as well as counseling whenever they need help. Service is fast. You do not have to wait long for your food to arrive on your table. The portion of chicken is huge! More than enough for 1 person. Perhaps, in future, I would order it and share it with my gf. The gravy sauce is thick and overflowing the whole chicken chop. Definitely adds on flavor to the chicken chop. Thumbs up!

For the sides, they offer coleslaw and french fries. The portion of coleslaw is quite a big amount too. For the fries, it is not as much as the coleslaw. Nevertheless, I don't mind, as I don't like to eat french fries. Coleslaw is prepared well. The mayonnaise quite thick and isn't watery.

To conclude, the chicken chop provides a good deal for those guys who are looking for a full and protein-saturated meal should eat at Wow Wow West. And it is only for $6. Definitely a deal-breaker. If only, they have a choice of healthy sides like Astons, I would definitely patronize it more often.

The Chicken Cutlet cost $6. Although the huge portion and the good taste justifies the price, but I feel it will appeal to more if the price is cheaper and the portion relatively smaller. First of all, the chicken is fried really well. It's not very oily, and most importantly, the chicken meat inside is very juicy! When I first tried, it taste like restaurant standards, something like Swensen's. Sides are also very generous, with a heap of fresh coleslaw and fries to go with the chicken.

Overall, I think this stall serves up really good food and worth eating once in a while. Not everyday because the huge portion will make people fat in no time.

Where can you get the same portion for the same price in another part of Singapore?

Each dish comes with huge portions of crinkle-cut fries, beans and salad. The salad dressing in particular is delightfully sweet-tasting and pretty damn good. And with this coming from a vegetable hater, you know it's really, really good.

The western food at wow wow west are always so big in serving. But they are really tasty and quite a treasure to be found in a hawker centre. The fish is not oily, the batter is not too thick, and the sweetness of the fish are not lost after being fried. I added the huge sausage to the fish and chip. The sausage is really juicy and tasty too. Not too much fats in it.

I had this meal more than half a year ago, but I can still remember how the coleslaw tasted. That's how good it is. The vegetables used were fresh and it was ice cold when served. One taste and I could tell that it was definitely not factory made and served from that typical blue coleslaw container. The chicken chop was also tender and succulent with a layer of crispy skin on top. If only I lived nearby.

Do you believe in a second chance? This unusual western food stall has a warm story to tell.

This is one of the most famous western food stalls in Singapore. And, many of you might have heard of its story and come forth to know about this western food stall and supporting its good value western foods.

The big hearted owner of this food stall believes in a second chance. The owner is willingly giving this chance to the ex-offenders by employing them as his full-salaried workers here thus supported the yellow ribbon project. When eating here, you might get to meet the friendly owner and his beautiful daughter too. Then he might shared with you the story about his once rebellious daughter that indirectly lead him to the path of connecting with the ex-offenders and giving them a new life by offering them a job.

I ordered a set of fried chicken cutlet for $6.00. The first impression was the extremely generous amount of food given for such an economical price. The piece of chicken cutlet was simply huge. It was such a big piece in size and rather thick as well. The chicken was nicely seasoned with western herbs and coated with a layer of bread crumbs and fried it to perfection and not oily. The nice crispiness of that layer of bread crumbs can be distinctly tasted. The homemade coleslaw was quite a huge pile too. You can clearly taste the freshness of the cabbage, it was nicely mixed with the dressings and served cold. It tasted good and definitely of a much better quality as compared to those served in some of the other western food stalls and fast food outlets out there. Apparently, the fries were pretty average.

Every single dish is handmade at the stall with love. The owner does not believe in ordering ready-made foods from the factories. You should have no fear of MSG or preservative added to the foods served at this stall.

If you have a big appetite but with little cash and looking for tasty and reasonably priced foods then this is the right place for you. Strongly recommended.
