FoodTasty plate of yammy Char Kway Tiao (CKT) is my comfort meal. Moist enough with adequate amounts of bits and pieces of eggs with the greasy kway tiao. Every piece of the kway tiao was evenly coated with the sweet brown sauce. Ingredients, especially cockles are fresh and juicy. Talk about portion, it wont lose out to any competitor, theirs are more than enough for a simple S$3.00 portion.Chinese sausages are added, one may ususally find 1 or 2 pieces in their CKT but Wu Ba Ye had more than 2

Chinese sausages are added, one may ususally find 1 or 2 pieces in their CKT but Wu Ba Ye had more than 2 pieces. To enhance the taste and fragrance, few pieces of pork lards are added and just below the Kway Tiao, they had their signature Wu Ba Ye placed inbetween the plate and the food. Well presented indeed.

Service
The lady looks ferocious and she is quite temperamental. She doesnt talk much, however service is quite prompt and food waiting time is fair enough.

Price
Economical pricing like most of the Hawker Centre.

Recommendation / Tips
Their menu looks impressive with a number of available dishes. Having tried the hokkien mee and CKT, I will like to explore Wu Ba Ye's fried Oysters too. My friend has also recommended their fried rice, I will want to give it a try too.

It is placed on the special leaf that make it more fragrant and delicious.

It is not overly cooked and I could taste a bit of the 'fried wok' taste.

The sweet sauce used is just right and is not too sweet or salty.

The amount of ingredients is okay too..and I like the taste of the chewy Taiwan sausage ;D

The plate of fried kway teow is not too dry or oily and the fragrant taste is quite strong.

The kway teow does not stick together and is not too soft.

There are still areas for improvements on the taste though.

Considering the price and place, it is pretty worth it for this plate of fried kway teow.

FoodIt's wet. It's flavourful enough. The belachan chilli that was placed by the side is good. The Hokkien Mee were cooked individually by order. A lime is given by the side for diners to squeeze the juice out and sprinkle on top of the Prawn Mee to add to taste! Every plate of Prawn Mee is served with the "Wu Ba Ye" at the base and this adds some fragrance to it. I have ordered a $3.50 portion and it comes with 3 prawns. The portion used to be very little but now it seems ok!ServiceSelf service

Service
Self service and we do expect some queues for it.

Ambience
Hawker center ambience, noisy and crowded especially during lunch hours.

Price
$3.50 is consider the average price in the market standard and its value worth!

Recommendation / Tips
Besides Hokkien Fried Prawn Mee, they have other dish like fried carrot cake and bean sprouts with cockles. Do try them out.
