Oyster Mee Sua 蚵仔麵線 ($5.90)
The oyster was plump and juicy which was rare in Singapore. The dish was served with pig's intestine which did not have stinking taste. It tasted not bad except a tab salty.

Ordered the fried rice and add on the milk tea for $1.The fried rice took quite a long time to serve even though there is not many dine in customers. The ingredients for the fried rice is mainly vegetable but the plus point is that it got the wok hei. The milk tea taste quite bland but the tapioca pearls is QQ.

Thinking that for the lunch promotion, I get to enjoy food court prices with restaurant ambiance it is worth to try.

During one of my days I needed to do data surveying, I had my lunch at Xian Ding Wei, a Taiwanese eatery at the basement of IMM. This was what I ordered! While they branded themselves as a Taiwanese eatery, I could not taste a single bit of "Taiwan style" in this very Singaporean beehoon albeit less "black". It tastes home-cooked, generously flavoured with many ingredients inside - carrots, sotong, caixin, and prawns. It is delicious in a comforting way. The portion is quite big too!

I would not recommend the top-up for the milk tea because it is very diluted, it is almost like flavoured water. Nevertheless, if you did not have your own water, this makes for cheap and good alternative to go along with the main dish since it is only $1.

All in all, Xian Ding Wei is really a cheap lunch place to go to at IMM - only $3.90 for quite a filling meal. Don't expect authentic or similar-pseudo Taiwanese food there though, it is very much too far from the real deal itself.

While my loved one order for the chicken chop set @ $8.90. Each set meal also comes with 3 tiny side dishes and a small bowl of soup of the day.

The 三杯鸡 was really delicious, highly recommended! The chicken was not tough, it was sweet and rich in aroma with a slight tinge of wine flavour.
As for my loved one is, the chicken was a bit hard and quite tasty.

Their melon drink is their drink of the day, it is refreshing. By the way, there is no service charge here.

The dish was served piping hot. There is no need to go Taiwan or Malaysia to eat this. What else can a food lover ask for? Soup of the day was simple corn soup which tasted homely and passed our msg test. Excellent! Lest we get too "heaty" with all the food at XDW, they serve very cooling winter melon tea for us to wash everything down! I like the tian bu la, it is the exactly one I have in Taiwan. People thought tian bu la is tempura (fried) but it is not. TBL is some sort of fish cake in their braised sauce. Yummy

The pig intestines were very chewy and delicious. the oysters were large and fresh. The gravy was very thick and tasty. it tasted even better with vinegar.

Lastly the soup was disappointing as well as the soup lacked flavour and tasted bland, somewhat different from the thick and fragrant soup I have expected it to be.

Comfy place for lunch gathering but the food is just average. Had the Kung Bao chicken set meal that comes with a plate of side dishes comprising of some odd veg and 1/2 of a salted egg. I liked the soup though. it was those herbal type of soup. Anyway back to the chicken. Meat was in bite-size, so you don't choke yourself while babbling away over lunchtime with your colleagues. Sauce was just as you would have expected an average Kung Bao chicken dish to be. Not too spicy. Not must character. P

Where to find such nice ambience with service staff serving you in a fast food restaurant? Here it is...

There aren't many choices on the menu but there is something I like particularly about it. You can create your own set meal! First, you choose the choice of main course from a selection of Chicken, Pork, Fish, Prawn, Beef or Seafood (price varies) and then you can choose the cooking method. It can be sweet & sour sauce, 3 varieties supreme brown sauce, tomato sauce with egg, honey sauce or just with salt and pepper. my favourite is chicken cooked with tomato sauce with egg!!

To sum it up, you can choose either steamed
or sweet potato porridge and it comes with a FOC soup of the day! Yums~~

Besides this, we ordered the Fried Beef Noodles with "Sa Cha" and to our surprise, it was delicious! The look of it is not very appetizing but there's a very faint tea smell in it.. not very oily too... *thumbs up*

As for the side dish, we ordered the taiwanese sausage.. it looks like any other sausage you can get it from the night market, but it taste real good!

Overall, it was a good dining experience as the price we paid is reasonable. Service from the staff was great and prompt!
