This stall offers a multitude of several cai fan dishes to go with either rice or teochew-style porridge with sweet potato added. I chose the porridge today, it's quite thick and has 3 pieces of well-cooked sweet potato inside. The food here is also cheap at $3.30 for one whole fish and 2 vegetables with the porridge. It's kinda hard to get this kind of prices nowadays, especially if fish is involved...most places charge exorbitantly for that. Psst...my friend ordered 5 different vegetables/tofu and a bowl of porridge and it was only $2.50. The food here is not overly oily and still tasty. For my fried fish, it was garnished with a generous amount of sliced ginger and cooked in a slightly spicy sauce - quite nice. The cauliflower/broccoli combination was also cooked just well, not overdone. As for the brinjal, it was surprisingly tender and yet not oily, with some chili and dried shrimp. A good homely meal that you can eat daily
