ZI really fall in love with this Char Siew Rice. This explains why the queue was endless and why people don't mind queuing for it. Thank god i was there early around 10.30am this morning and I get to enjoy this without queuing! The rice was not normal white rice, it was you fan (the one for chicken rice and cooked with garlic)It was soft and chewy. I like the texture, not too soggy or too hard. On the other hand, their char siew was my favourite. There was no fats at all yet i was soft and juicy. They cut each char siew into smaller pieces (as compare to other store in the market but their portion did not reduce). I added egg and cabbage to my dish. The total price was $4, which i think is reasonable cheap especially for such good food. The environment was clean, however due to the haze, it is a bit stuffy there. The stall holder are also very friendly and despite there is a lot of customers, they never failed to greet each and everyone with a smile. I think this really make their business good! continue reading

It had been a while since I had had chicken rice and I was having a massive craving for it!So of course the only stall I looked for was a chicken rice one and I was beyond elated when I found it.I ordered the roasted chicken rice.Firstly, the portion of chicken served was rather generous. The chicken meat was juicy and tender and the roasted skin was quite crispy.I liked how the soup wasn't too salty either (Y)The chilli wasn't too bland or too spicy but just the right mix and when eaten with the chicken rice, was just delicious!Yumyum, a craving satisfied well! continue reading
