Roasted Duck came with beautiful roasted crackling skin, the sweet juicy punches from its meat was far than more I can say. Scrumptious! The down side of the meal may be that the meat and aromatic gravy had been given sparingly. Personally, I felt that if the can increase the amount of meat by a little it will be better but it seems like majority dont mind its portion, thus the queue.

The meal is completed with this complimentary big bowl of soup with Sze Chuan Vegetables. On the contrary as compared to the meat portion, they were indeed very generous especially when you see the number of vegetables available in the bowl. It was not oily, instead it tasted rather pleasant together with the roasted meal.

Having seen people order their takeaways in large quantities always, be prepared to wait a little while more at times.

Seeing so many patrons ordering their Duck Leg rice, I guess it tempts me and gave me another reason to visit them again.

Xiang Mei Roasted Meat's queue had drawn my attention for quite sometimes due to its long snaking queue lined up by the roasted meat fans.My friend added that this is one of the popular places for roasted meat in Bukit Batok District. I'm someone who prefer braised to roasted duck. The roasted portion on its crackling skin was fragrant with juicy meat. However, the down side was that the portion given was filled with bones and ratio of meat to the rice was not really appealing. Though the sweet aromatic sauce that was poured over the meat was delicious, I just felt that the amount given was not as generous.

Likewise for the packet of Char Siew and Roasted meat, portion was miserable with little gravy used.

When asked if I could take away the soup as well, I was referred to get plastic containers myself from neighbouring stalls at $0.20.

The lacking in portion and soup in my take-away encounter was a disappointment despite how popular people claimed it to be. Perhaps I should give them another try by dining in and judge again.

During lunch time, there was a roasted meat stall at this Bukit Batok kopitiam with long queue.

I had ordered roasted duck and char siew. There was also soup of the day which came free fir dine in.

The soup of the day was peanut chicken feet soup. The soup tasted well boiled for several hours. There was no MSG taste.

The roasted meat was slightly disappointing. The roasted duck was not meaty and full of bones. The meat was dry and skin not fatty.

The char siew meat was average. There was not much of roasted aroma. The meat tasted slightly on the dry side with no fats.

A plate of roasted pork meat and duck rice costs $5. For such a portion, it is quite expensive for hawker fare and I can definitely get something better at a cheaper price else where. The meat was not tender at all and was quite oily. The gravy also tasted rather disappointing. There seemed to be something lacking in it. It is a disappointment and I will not purchase this again.

This is one of the best fried hor fun (dry) i ever tasted. The hor fun texture is so smooth , 'Q' and very tasty. I like the bean sprouts and vegetables which are still crunchy! The prawns are fresh and nicely cooked (the texture is still quite 'Q').Its simply yummy!!!
