I'm not quite sure why, but I have yet to eat Ru Rou fan outside of Taiwan which is spot on what I'm used to in Taiwan. The closest I've gotten to it is Lai Lai's Ru Rou Fan, but even then the fat balance is a little too much. The meat pieces are not loaded with fat, and the veggies is a nice balance. Wish they had a little more sauce though, but the eggs are decently done.

In my opinion, their Oyster Mee Sua cannot come close when compared with Shilin, however, their Yan Shu Ji (Fried Chicken seasoned with Pepper and Salt) actually wins Shilin.

Feeling a little hungry after shopping, we passed by Xiao Bar Wang and decided to try the crispy chicken. It costs around $4.50 for the crispy chicken. It tasted crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chicken was piping hot. I like the combination of black pepper and salt seasonings on the chicken. For those who prefer spice, there is a choice of chilli powder.

This Taiwan all time favourite food is really popular in Singapore. The mee sua is very smooth and very easy to swallow. The thick gravy blend in really well with the mee Sua and every mouthful of it can really taste the sweetness of it. The oysters in the mee Sua is big and fresh which give this dish that slightly sea flavour in it. The shredded chicken is tender and juicy, which the chicken ats have been removed from the met which make it more healthy for our health.

I had lunch at Xiao bar wang at Ion orchard where I ordered the braised pork rice. It costs $4.10 served with braised pork, vegetables and egg. The braised pork smelt fragrant and tasted great eaten with the rice. The portion is generous and is sufficient to fill my stomach.

Everything was really good here, i also highly recommended another comforting food which is Braised Pork Rice.

My boyfriend didn't have his lunch and so we were just strolling and browsing all the food stalls in ION Orchard when he decided to grab a bite from Xiao Bar Wang!We went for the set meal, which came with a drink and choice of a snack. We ordered milk tea for the drink and crispy fish! The fish was really delicious- cripsy on the outside, and soft, fluffy and hot on the inside! With a sprinkle of pepper and sesame, it was a great snack!

The similar from taiwan finally able to be found in ion orchard other than shih lin taiwan snacks stalls. Thick savoury soup, tender silky strands of mee sua, fragrant coriander and shredded chicken, topped with a big, fat (and surprisingly fresh) oyster. The gravy are not as dark as shih lin, but it is flavourful enough to mix with the mee sua, definitely best combination. Extremely reasonable prices for delicious foodSome say to enjoy the Ultimate experience, no chopsticks shall be used, only

This is always my favourite ru rou fan (stewed pork rice) stall in town. Other than this, Xiao Bar Wang also has a wide variety of authentic taiwan street snacks, for example their Crispy chicken, fish or the Herbal egg or Mee sua.One of my fav drink is their milk tea which is highly affordable. It's only 1 dollar per cup, top up 20 cents and get a big cup! isn't it worth it ? Plus, it's not as sweet, it taste soothing!

I like Xiao Bar Wang very much. But the price is quite pricey consider into shihlin and others. But I like the chicken from bar wang. But today topic is the egg, something the others do not have. It tastes normal so nothing much to comment. Normal as in what you expect from a cha ye dan. Not disappointing. It costs a dollar. Not bad.

Oyster Mee SuaWas expecting to get a savoury, piping hot mee sua but was disappointed with this. Not only that this bowl of mee sua is warm (Note: Not hot, WARM!) It is not tasty at all! In fact, all I could taste was just how spicy it was. To the extent that it is a little 2 spicy for me that I have to gulp my bottle of ice water down. (My tolerance of spiciness is about a normal cup noodles type of tomyum ?) To make matters worse, the little meat chunks present in the mee sua taste bland! In

In other words, it is just like water + chili, probably with a little corn starch.

1 word - Disappointing.

Maybe I should try Shihlin's next time.
