Between the two choices of carrot cake (white or black), I will always order the white one as I feel that there seems to be more eggs and I can enjoy the carrot cake more thoroughly without the sweet sauce masking all the taste. This stall's carrot cake is quite nice, as it is just the way I like my carrot cake to be. I like my carrot cakes to be coated with eggs and here, the amount of eggs used in frying the carrot cake is ample. For those who love spice, you can also request for chilli to be added to the carrot cake. I personally loved having chilli added to my carrot cake as I felt it gives an added dimension to the taste. It is definitely worth my time queuing up for it!

Local delights are mostly everyone's favorite. In my personal opinion, anything that is unhealthy and sinful is usually yummy. My mom and dad were in the vicinity of Toa Payoh last Sunday and they bought takeaway home. My mom chose white carrot cake instead of the black sauce one and I didn't feel like having something with sweet sauce. I loved the fried carrot cake as it was cooked with a great serving of beaten eggs. Really delicious especially with the fresh chili sauce. The owner was generous too, such a huge serving for only 3$!
