There was a famous Lor Mee stall at Old Airport Road that only opened in the morning and soldout during lunch time.Hence, I went in the morning to have a tried of this Lor Mee. The Lor Mee was given with good quality vinegar, it looked dark and thick. The Lor Mee looked good but the taste was average, maybe the gravy did not have much brasied meat soup taste.There was a braised egg and some braised fatty pork. The fatty pork taste good, with skin that was braised until so soft it tasted liked fats.I think something was missing from my Lor Mee and it was fish meat! After asking the stall aunty, she said I need to order a higher priced one to get fish meat in my Lor Mee.Overall, the Lor Mee was acceptable, though I would prefer those with heavy braised meat gravy.

There are a few stores in old airport selling lor mee. There are always long queue for most of the lor mee store and the excepted waiting time was 20minutes to 30minutes before you are served with your lor mee. Yesterday, I went for a late lunch at old airport road (and have the craving for lor mee). One of the lor mee store had their lor mee sold out around 12.30pm (as usual) and the rest was having long queue. I almost give up hope on eating lor mee until I passed by this stall. There are 2 people in front of me so I decided to join the queue, at the same time to asking myself to lower down my expectation! But OH MY GOD, to my surprise, this store sold the best lor mee in old airport road! The sauce was thick and tasty and their fish was soft! As compare to some of the store, the fish was awesome!

Xin Mei Xiang is one of the many delicious food stalls in Old Airport Road Food Centre & Shopping Mall. I like the fried fish lor mee especially which costs only $3.50. The fried fish are crispy as they are well fried and the noodles portion is huge. The lor mee is tangy and taste great on the taste buds.
