Introduction
Boasting 200 items on the menu, diners can savour comfort food borne from simple recipes characteristic of the typical Hong Kong and Macau cafes, local Singapore favourites, tim sum and tea-time snacks. Different from other Hong Kong Cafes in Singapore, Xin Wang constantly incorporate in the menu lineup some dishes that customers like in Cantonese cuisine and not just signature Hong Kong Bo Lo Buns (Pineapple Buns), congees and noodles. continue reading

This place is always filled with people who just book out from Tekong! After a week of tough training, we always feel like pampering ourselves with some good food just to reward ourself for all the hard work that we have put in! I always go for the same dishes like the french toast and the curry chicken rice. Today, i decided to try something new, and it was a good choice! Thinking that a HK cafe might not be good with unagi, i was pleasantly surprised by this hotpot unagi porridge which was really tasty and felt very nutritious! continue reading

I was at Pasir Ris the other day and I haven't had dinner. It was 10pm and most of the restaurants has already closed. Thank god Xin Wang opens till 2am everyday! I had their curry chicken noodles, which is really yummy! the curry is thick and rich. The noodles are quite chewy too. Curry chicken is very well flavored and the meat is tender the curry potato isn't too hard nor soft. Overall I like this dish a lot. Value for money continue reading

I was looking to take away something for lunch and decided on Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. After looking through the menu, I decided on the fish baked rice, which costs $10.90. It didn't take too long for them to prepare my order even though it was quite filled with people. The portion looks small but is actually extremely filling, I could only finish half of it. I didn't really like the fish, which is your typical frozen dory. They basically placed the fish on top of the rice and added tomato sauce and baked it with cheese. Wouldn't recommend it unless you really like tomato sauce and soft, lumpy, fish. continue reading

I popped by Xin Wang Hong Kong Café 新旺香港茶餐厅 for lunch with my colleagues during one of the lighter work days. I had patronized all the restaurants at White Sands Shopping Mall except this one, before this visit. Thus, after dining here, you can say I already "conquered" all the restaurants at White Sands Shopping Mall!I ordered Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop as I think this dish should not go wrong with any Hong Kong restaurant. Fortunately, the baked rice didn't disappoint and the pork chop's texture was just right, not too tough. continue reading

was sick and so i just ordered the porridge. My friend was so good that she dont allow me to eat other fried or spicy thing. sad anyway we waited quite some time before the porridge came, and that time i was quite sick and hungry, the environment was cold to me too, so the long time waiting really give me a bad impression to this restaurant. moreover, the porridge was not nice! It was the watery with very few rice grain type, and the taste is bland. The pork meat taste like rubber and the century egg was weird too. Only the peanut (which is fromtin can) is nice. continue reading
