I had a high expectation but turned out feeling a bit disappointed after tasted the foods. I am a fan of the braised meat rice in Taiwan so decided to order it at this cafe to try out. The taste was not close to what i had in Taiwan. The braised meat has got little taste of ngor hiang powder and a bit oily. The braised egg was a bit overcooked. It failed to impress me overall.

Eventhough it has been called as 'Taiwan' Cafe instead of 'hong Kong' cafe, the food menus are quite similar to the Hong Kong Version. My favourite dish here will be their cheesy baked rice with chicken cutlet. Large portion of chicken cutlet has been deep fried and cut into slices before placed on the cheesy baked rice. The chicken cutlets are really crispy and the meat inside is juicy and tender. Another good thing about this chicken cutlets is that it is not too oily and not much chicken

The rice is fragrant and lots of cheese have been used during the baking. The outcome is melted cheese are topped on the rice which taste so good and you will be craving for more after your first plate. Do request for some parmersen cheese if you are a super cheese lover!

Like a substitute for potato fries! HAHA! Can't remember the price already, but for TW xin wang cafe, it's really affordable one, no worry! For the 3 of us, the bill doesn't exceed $40 at city area somemore! Woohoo!

Our main dish! Chicken Chop with rice, there are sauces (e.g. curry) to go with it if you want to. I chose not too. And it tasted quite well already! Crispy outside and tender inside~ heehee!

I would also like to make a comment, their menus are also rather traditional taiwan dishes like braised rice, mee suah etc. so if you loved TW food, i believed it's worth a try here!

Their menu is pretty impressive, they have most of the taiwanese foods listed but i have doubt of their authenticity but still, i went ahead to order braised meat rice (鲁肉饭) with a braised egg (卤蛋) and Pork dumpplings (饺子) out of curiosity. The braised minced pork and egg rice was the best, and have a generous amount of gravy on the rice, and it was all so delicious.

Had dinner at Xin Wang Taiwan Cafe. Tried their chicken chop noodles and found it abit too salty for my liking. The chicken chop was quite a little bit too dry. Their milk tea however, was nice. Almost wanted to order another one, perhaps it was due to the overwhelming saltiness of the chicken chop.

Their food was a okay only. It wasnt bad, but it was just so-so. I ordered noodles, but they just tasted like instant noodles quality. The chicken chop was abit too fatty. Their milk tea was slightly bitter, not to my liking as I have a sweet tooth. Overall, there are still rooms for improvement. On a side note, their staff are really polite. It left a good impression on my visit there. Good job Keep on improving!

Their menu is pretty impressive, they have most of the taiwanese foods listed but i have doubt of their authenticity but still, i went ahead to order braised meat rice (鲁肉饭) with a braised egg (卤蛋) and salted crispy chicken (盐酥鸡) out of curiosity.

If you have never been to Taiwan and you have no comparison to be made then perhaps you might love the foods here. The salted crispy chicken tasted alright, it got the light taste of basil leaves (九层塔) that commonly used together with their fried items in Taiwan.

But, i was not too impressed with their braised meat rice. I would prefer my braised meat to be much softer and it did not have a distinct five spice taste (五香) taste. I have tasted the better version in Taiwan thus not impressed.

And i decided to order a dessert to compliment my meal. I ordered the grass jelly in their milk tea dessert. The combination did not go too well and not to my liking.

My friend and I chose to dine in the Taiwan Xin Wang because marina square and Suntec city are still far from us. We’ve ordered the salted fried chicken too. They waitress gave us the pepper and chili powder to it ourselves. We put a lot, we intent to open the bottle’s cap of the pepper and chili powder and pour the powder on our chicken.
The milk tea is so-so but its way better than Sweettalk bubble milk tea.

My Ji pa with curry was great. They asked me if I wanted it with jap or Singapore curry. I choose jap. The chicken was a little oily but nevertheless yummy!

If i have the choice, I would not dine at Xin Wang Cafe. The service is not exactly fantastic and I feel like I'm eating a slightly better version of the instant noodles which I cook at home. However, my companion would like to have his lunch there one fine day so I reluctantly followed.I ordered a Yuan Yang (which is coffee and tea) plus this pork chop noodle soup which was prepared with papaya and milk. I must say that it was an interesting combination and the taste was surprisingly delicious.
