I had this set while at the airport to pick up. This set is very affordable and god to munch for pass time while waiting for flight to land. about $4 for the set with coffee and toasted bread with butter and kaya. The brown bread is very crispy and the kaya is very creamy and tasty. The coffee is very good as they put both condense and sweeten milk in it and it is thick. To keep me dozing off while waiting.

I decided to have a late night supper at Changi Airport's Ya Kun toast since this is a 24-hour branch. The shop is quite empty and only a few other night owls is there to have their supper too. I ordered their Signature Toast Bread Set which comes with kaya toast, soft boiled egg and a drink. I was a bit disappointed with the toast because even though it is served from the grill, the toast is not hot and crispy. In fact, it tasted soft and a bit cold, definitely not up to their usual standard. The soft boiled egg is quite raw too. I hope they can improve their standard as this is a branch where many tourists will frequently visit.

The first drink that warms a Singaporean's stomach after touching down in Singapore, "Teh C" and the favorable silky barely. There's definitely no place like home! Missing all the good food and drinks here! Barley was good to go with mild sweetness, although we ordered the cold version, the amount of ice cubes were not that over killing. Barley drink was smooth as expected while Teh C is great and filled with tastes of Singapore As early as 8am, Ya Kun Kaya Toast was already quite packed - not many seats were available. The good thing about the environment is that, it has adequate spaces allowing travelers who have luggages to dine in comfortably by parking their luggage while having a quick bite.

Ya Kun probably has the best kaya toast around. The toast comes with both kaya and butter. The toasts come in 4 thin slices and are toasted to perfection. When served, the butter is melted and the combination of kaya and butter sandwhiched between the toast is just heavenly. This is definitely the kind of toast that used be so popular during the olden days and is perfect throughout the day. Other then kaya-butter, there are also other types of toast such as peanut butter, cheese or french toast. The store only sells individual bottles of kaya that is priced reasonably. I rate this toast 8/10
