Needed a coffee break and dropped into yakun at parkway. they have upgraded now and is a fully air conditioned joint. Orderd a coffee frostyz which is just ice blended coffee. It was not too bad. Not overly sweet and pretty refreshing drink to have. They apparently have a new food menu, and I ordered the kaya balls to try. The famous kaya was still as fragrant, smooth and nice in the mouth. it's wrapped in this piece of cake that is soft and fluffy. The only problem I had was that I wished that the kaya balls were served warm. I thought that would have make the whole experience better. continue reading

New renovated place, bright and clean with plenty of seats. We ordered some random finger pointed cakes. The staff was prompt on delivery upon payment. The Kaya balls are fun to eat! Like a kid, I like to puncture plug each on the finger of my hand and eat them off one by one slowly. It's kaya fragrance is heartwarming. Parkway Parade shopping mall is a good place for food and shopping with plenty of carparks. continue reading

It's time for a chit-chat session after some shopping in parkway parade.Food & DrinksSilkyz Barley again in the upgrade version, S$2.10 + S$0.90 (up-sized) = S$3.10 for a cup. The cold version of barley in ice cubes has little sweetness and standard by this outlet is still considered ok.Something's new on the menu! Mee Rebus, S$4.50. Sweet tasting mee rebus but miserable portions and ingredients. There are more rooms for improvement.ServiceTables are cleared promptly. However the staffs over the counters are very relax and chatted loudly.AmbienceEnvironment are very new and has the up-to-date interior designs and menu offered by Yakun's.The menu includes thick toast and mee rebus now and this menu somehow reminds me of their competitor's. Whao, what a fierce competition, I thought!PricePrice is well maintained across Yakun's outlet. However, there are better and money worth Mee Rebus in the mall's food court. continue reading

This eastern branch had been closed for renovation since last year, it was only opened the beginning of the year. The staffs there are mostly new, didn't see the staffs previously there. I was introduced to this super teh aka Frostyz tea by one of the previous staffs there. I like the taste, it had a mixture of tea with horlick and blended with ice. Can also asked with or without whip cream, in my case I like it original without whip cream. continue reading

I ordered the cheesy french toast and a cup of tea, it comes as a set with boil eggs. I also tried the ice-cream toast, it is very delicious you can feel the ice-cream melting into your mouth. Nowadays they are selling local delights also. Example: mee rebus, meesiam, Laksa, all of it is very yummy. The place is also very clean and spacious. Highly recommended. Thumbs up. continue reading
