Signature Dishes
It was my first time ordering water-boiled eggs + French Toast with Kaya + Tea ($4) as a set. I've not eaten water-boiled eggs before in my entire life (Talk about being suaku -_-) and it was quite interesting trying it... but I'll not eat it again because I really don't like watery eggs. My friends eating with me tell me that Ya Kun's water-boiled eggs are considered the better ones in Singapore already. Ok guess I cannot appreciate it.. On the other hand, I think the best part of the whole set is the Tea. The tea tastes really rich and not overly sweet. The concoction is very well-made and you can tastes that the proportions of all the ingredients are perfect. The French Toast with Kaya is only okay. The French Toast is like white bread first dipped in egg mixture and pan-fried. The kaya is served separately. I would prefer if the kaya is spread for me already inside. #lazy Ya Kun would be one of my favourite choices to rest at after shopping at Far East. Otherwise I'll go to either Grafitti Cafe and one of those chinese noodle shops at the top floor.

One of my favourite resting area after long hours of window shopping hees. the very first time I eat their toast , I knew I would go back and visit again . I always ordered the traditional kaya toast with butter , the crispy toast match with the sweet kaya and thick butter , their milo is charged at $2 for a small cup however the taste is thick enough thus worth it as compared to the outside one so diluted with water is like cheat money only. Go try if you haven!
