Tucked in the CBD area, you will find this little traditional breakfast place. I always love how Ya kun does their watery eggs. It doesn't have those translucent sticky runny stuffs floating in the eggs and it's not overly cooked also. Best of all, they open the eggs for us. There are other places that just gave you the eggs and you have to break them yourselves. Those are good once in a while but I certainly don't wish to dirty my hands much. Setting is great as in Far East Square which has shophouses that are unique and pretty. Low rise buildings make it special in the CBD. Very clean, tidy area.Value is bad since it is the most expensive kaya toast chain! It costs more than any other place for a breakfast set.Service is great since they take your order and leave you alone after sending your order. The coffee comes in a small cup and saucer which makes it moreish and authentic looking, rather than a large mug which can be overdosing

went to ya kun for a drink after my lunch. ordered a take away coffee as i don't have to finish the drink immediately and i can take back to my office to carry on.well 1 thing nice about the coffee is that it's slightly thicker than your normal average coffee. maybe particularly at the ones at china square there. reason being is probably it caters to the need of the working adults who need the caffine badly.overall i give the coffee 7/10 and it's thicker enough to last you through the afternoon

Another day after lunch, my colleagues and I headed straight to Ya Kun Kaya Toast for our after meal drink sessions. This outlet is always packed with working adults during lunch hours. So it was lucky that we managed to find a seat. I had my usual Iced Teh-O to quench my thirst after my lunch. Iced Teh-O never fail to refresh me after a heavy meal. =) I also like their kaya toast and egg set. The toast is crispy thin and simply yummy. Tried many half boil eggs, I still like Ya Kun's the best.
