While waiting for the arrival of our "Brunch", the famous Fei Fei Wanton Mee, the sign board in front of me somehow hinted me that it was a must to order a plate of Rojak as it name goes "Yi Ding Xiang", when translated directly from the Chinese characters, it means "sure fragrance". As a rojak lover, I cant bear to skip this dish seems its name had assured its fragrance. Yi Ding Xiang is located just a stall or 2 away from the wanton Mee. Their business is equally good as the latter therefore waiting time is expected. Order a plate of S$3.00 portion Rojak and indeed, it smells good. Sprinkled with ample of ground nuts all over the plate with "Tau Gay" (Bean Sprouts), Turnip, Cucumber, kangkong, "You Tiao" (fried fritters) stirred even with the sweet "Heh Gor" (Prawn Paste). Yums! It was not too sweet and save me from hunger while waiting for my Wanton Mee Breakfast. continue reading

This store is just beside the popular fei fei wanton store. I didnt had rojak for a long time and hence i decided to give it a try since its my first visit here. The serving for a $3 is quite a lot. The usual ingredients (like the fried dough sticks, pineapple, cucumbers) were well mixed and prepared. There were also some peanut toppings on the rojak. It tasted good and fresh. continue reading
