Yesterday I went to Takashimaya and it was so crowded during the dinner hour, especially the food hall at B2. People were queing up to buy different kinds of food and snacks or drinks or ice-cream. It was like a food paradise there! What a stunning scene to watch! Outside the food hall, there were sales holding up, no wonder there is so many people at there. I waited for about 15mins only got my food, and I was superb hungry by that time. Well, too disappointed that the popiah is not as nice as

It is too sweet and not crispy enough the ingredients inside is just too stuffed.

the steamed cake here is too crumbly. makes it very hard to eat as it keeps crumbling while you're trying to eat it. service is gruff and unfriendly. cost about $3. not very tasty at all. would not recommend it. would prefer a cake that didn't crumble so much. luckily it's sealed in individual packs so you don't have to cut it and risk crumbling more cake before eating it.

black sesamee muah chee. very interesting flavour. very good. nice and chewy. wish the peanut topping was drier and crunchy instead of soggy. the sells lots of snacks here. the only place that i have seen black sesame muah chee. service is not very friendly but very fast. did not take photos of every food item here. also did not take photo of menu so do not remember the prices. don't remember exact price - $3 to $5

There are many kind of varities at Yi Kou Wei, from pumpkin cake, glutonious rice, muah chee to popiah etc etc. I have tried a few things from them before which is not too bad especially the muah chee. This time round I thought I will go for the popiah cos the pipping hot turnips look alluring. Took my first bite, hmm...overall so so only and something still lacking in the flavor. The price for this popiah is $2.50, very dear. Should have stick to my muah chee.
