Food15 satays at the price of $7, 5 sticks of pork, 5 sticks of mutton and 5 sticks of chicken satay with kueh tu pak. Unbelievable good. Quite observant helper as they have given us 2 bowls of satay sauce. Every stick of satay is well BBQ and the standard is highly maintained throughout the years. the meat is tender and fresh. Food is not overly oily as expected. The selling point of the satay stall is not only its satay sticks but also its satay gravy. Generously given, every bowl of sauce comes with a spoonful of pineapple paste in the middle of the bowl. Yah! I think satay sauce must have this, this is how we singaporeans eat satay, isnt it? Well sliced into pieces, it goes very well with the pineapple paste in satay sauce. Dont forget to include some cucumbers too.ServiceLong queues from the shop always and normally we will order from the stall and give them the table number. They will serve the satays to the table when food is ready.Waiting time is not that long too.AmbienceTypical singapore hawker center environment. Noisy and crowded. Especially there are alot of good food located in bukit timah food center.PriceAffordable pricing.Recommendations / TipsIf you want to "ta bao" such great food and share with your family and friends, do make sure they take the order down when you are having your food so as to minimise the waiting time later on taking in consideration that there are alot of customers having this as well. continue reading

I love satays that come with pineapple in the gravy, this stall is one of them. The gravy is totally tasty when paired with the satay. I ordered the chicken and mutton satay and they costs around $5 for the satays in total. The meat was juicy but yet tender. Totally awesome! I thought the price was quite worth it. I will come back again. What a good meal. continue reading

Not that I've the intention to compare but still, a great alternative to the other satay stall at Bukit Timah Market. Decided to try this one as we were seated just right in front of it and it looked decent. Yong Seng Satay & Western Food currently sells chinese satays only as the western food will be temporary unavailable. Ordered all 3 varieties; pork, chicken and mutton. They don't serve beef probably due to religion reasons. I must say, all were good and the mutton didn't have any meat odour unlike some satay stalls out there that have dissapointed me. The fine satay sauce was something unique as it also came topped with pineapple puree, which blended went with the grounded peanuts, giving it a natural touch of tropical sweetness. Not many satay stalls serve pineapple peanut sauce these days! Priced at $0.45 each so that you'd have the urge to order 10 sticks or any whole number to make payment easier. Oh yes, friendly lady boss by the way. continue reading
