Cabbage Kueh 包菜粿 ($1.20)
This was hot seller in the outlet which was a must buy for everyone here. Shaped like a ball, it was packed with shredded cabbage and dried shrimp, till bursting. The skin was thin and cut through easily with a fork. It was like a dumpling stuffed with the homecooked stirred fried cabbage in it.

Glutinous Rice Kueh 糯米饭粿 ($1.30)
I was usually not a fan of Rice Kueh, but the version here was packed with savoury mushroom in it which made it very taste. Instead of the usual pink skin, it was white skin with a pink dot. Inside also packed with soft chewy rice and soft peanuts.

Yam Paste 芋泥 ($7/ big)
Quite plain looking, so don't forget add the Ginko Nut 白果  ($3.50) to add texture. It was quite smooth in texture without too sweet.

Tapioca Cake 木薯糕 ($3.60/3 pcs)
It was still pipping hot when I grabbed a box. Although it was huge, it sliced through easily with a fork. Soft and chewy without too sweet.

Glutinous Rice 糯米饭 ($3.50)
The roasted peanut was packed separately. The simple looking dish was savoury with the rice holding its shape well.

Freshly made upon order by the elderly aunty. Crispy outside stuffed with crispy juicy shredded  carrot, turnip, mushroom and dried shrimps.

Yong's Teochew Kueh has been around at the shop houses of Upper Serangoon Road for a long time. I was rather surprise by the number of people queuing up for their traditional Chinese snacks even at early hours of a public holiday.

Interior floor space was rather limited and crowded with patrons lining up for their food as well as the workers rushing here and there in preparation of the items. There are no seatings available inside the shop but there are 1 or 2 tables right outside them. Interior looked ather traditional pieced up by small pieces on floor titles and traditional white tiles on the wall. There will be one section right at the left side of the shop where we can get to see the live demonstration of how a fried popiah is done. After queuing for a short while in a shop, you will find yourselves smell full of teochew snacks.

Yong's packaging comes in paper box featuring numerous traditional teochew kueh and its ingredients in color printing. The box also indicated that one can also order via their hotline.

Soon Kueh is quite big in size and looked plump. It was filled with crunchy grated turnips. As compared to the usual ones that I had ever eaten, theirs are considered above average.

Pink Png Kueh and Soon Kueh are quite normal from the common chinese
snack stall but I have never seen a white Png Kueh before. Those white
Png Kueh perhaps looked more towards the original as they do not have
any pink coloring on their skin. If you asked my preference, my vote
will definitely goes to the white.

Yam Kueh was rather unique and I have totally no idea it exist! It's modified version of the glutinous rice kueh just yam is included among the sticky glutinous rice fillings with
ingredients such as mushrooms, peanuts and dried shrimps to enhance its
aroma.

Yong's Teochew Kueh has gained a name for serving great soon kuehs and peng kuehs, and this roadside stall is usually packed with people eating in or taking away in the mornings. We visited during evening time when it was definitely less crowded. The glutinous rice kueh ($1) is not too bad- the glutinous rice filling was rather fragrant and had lots of shrimps in it, just too bad it was a tad cold when served out to us. I also felt the kueh's skin was too dense and not chewy enough for my liking

Located along the shophouses at Upper Serangoon Road. This Teochew Kueh stall has been around at for a long time. I live a few steps away from the place but has never visit it. Every weekend morning I would see a long queue of people eating and buying Teochew Kueh from the stall. One morning, I went to check out the place. The soon kueh is my favourite here. The soon kueh was huge! I enjoyed the fullest of its filling and the smooth silky skin.

Other than soon kueh, the png kueh is another of my favourite. Their png kueh is not pink colour skin, white colour instead. The glutinous rice inside is flavourful and has a mild sweetness of the chinese parsley.

Other than soon kueh and png kueh, they also have other popular selections like koo chye kueh, cabbage kueh, orr nee, glutinous rice etc...
