The stall is located at the second floor of the hawker centre and has been around for a long time, occupying 2 stall spaces. Currently it is closed on thursday and friday. The minimum order starts from $4. Here it is self service style. One has to order and collect at the stall.I had been eating at the stall since I was young. I felt that the serving was getting smaller while price had increased too. The amount of fish meat in the serving had reduced a lot. It used to be chunky fish overflowing. I like that the yellow noodle did not have the "Kee" taste. The dish still tasted not bad.Best come during holiday when there is no office crowd. There will be no queue.Read More

Being a fan of lor mee, I've always wanted to try the famous one at this hawker! Finally had an opportunity but when I reach here around lunch time, the queue was extremely long but I still went ahead to queue. Luckily, it didn't take a long time as it moved pretty fast and I got my bowl 20 minutes later.I always like the look of the bowl of lor mee when served initially.. thick dark sauce covering all the ingredients and noodles! Then my favourite part is to uncover all the goodness! I like the generous amount of servings given like ngoh hiang, fish cake, fried fish and pork belly. I love the ngoh hiang most as it is so crispy! The sauce is gooey but would be better if it's thicker! At only $2.50-$3 for a bowl, it is definitely one of the cheapest you can find in Singapore! Read More

At $2.50, this may be the cheapest lor mee around.Although, it used to be $2 la.While there was a queue (not that long today), the queue moved rather fast.Got my bowl within a while.Downside was the uncle didn't provide me with a plate holder - I didnt ask for it also la, since he was so busy. The lor mee was not bad.IMO, it's not the best i've eaten - I just thought it was slightly above average. The gravy was good enough, along with the vinegar, garlic and chilli (not spicy).Read More

Amoy Food Centre is famous for their traditional Lor Mee. This Lor Mee stall is located at level two of the food centre. While queueing at the stall for your order, you can already smell the good vinegar sauce and braised meat gravy soup.I think they sells the cheapest Lor Mee in Singapore, you can hardly find a Lor Mee at $2.50 nowadays. The Lor Mee had very thick braised meat gravy. There was very heavy braised meat soup tasted in the gravy. The fatty pork though given little, was very braised until the whole meat melts in your mouth. There were more ngor hiam than pork meat. It was crispy and when dipped in the braised gravy, tasted very good.Overall, I think this Lor mee stall was the best in Singapore. Not much other stalls can come close to their thick braised meat gravy taste.Read More

To date, I think this is the best lor mee I have tasted. The lor mee here is those hokkien version with thick dark sauce and thick fat yellow noodles. They added fried fish, ngo hiang, pork belly and fish cake into the mee. Their fried fish and ngo hiang are nice, crispy and well marinated. I think it is a must to add chilli, minced garlic sauce and vinegar to this lor mee as it will enhance the taste of this lor mee. The price for the lor mee is $2.50, $3.00 and take away $3.00. They are closed on every Monday and Tuesday and the queue can be quite long sometimes. I will definitely come back for more again.Read More

With a Hokkien origin to the dish, the thick gravy is mainly of corn starch, varied spices and eggs and covers the thick flat yellow noodles underneath. It is not complete without the addition of ngo hiang (composition of various types of minced meat seasoned with five-spice powder, rolled inside a beancurd skin and deep-fried), fish cakes, pork dumplings and a portioned egg slice. With a soup spoon full of red chili and vinegar, every mouthful gives a flavorsome burst. (+) Thick gravy and not overly pungent with spices.(+) The starchy yellow noodles fortunately do not exude that typical 'gi' (ammonia) smell/taste.(+) Deep fried ngo hiang and fish cakes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.(+) Every mouthful gives a very well balanced array of tastes, so you dont get overwhelmed by spiciness for instance.(+) The well portioned amount of vinegar was a good acidic stimulation to your taste buds and senses.(-) Closes early at about 3pm and thankfully we bought the last bowl!(-) Ngo hiang and meat pieces are bite-size portions, and foodies always do not mind more. (-) Not recommended for those who prefers a stronger oomph.Verdict: 8.0/10Read More

Decided to introduce my pal to the local famous Lor Mee stall before she leaves for Singapore. I hope this will actually leave a good impression to her on Singapore's food.FoodLor Mee, S$2.50 (Small) / S$3.00 (big or take-away) had left me a good impression ever since my last visit and was classified under my "Singapore Best Lor Mee" list! Yuan Chun Famous Lor Mee tastes unique and has its kind of style.Fried mackerel fish and the fried fritter bits were included. Like any other Lor Mee Stall, they will ask if you want the garlic, chilli, vinegar to be added and this is the outcome if you told them you want everything. The other special point about the lor mee is that it may seems thick but the fact is that it is not as thick and heavy as majority of its competitors are offering.Had bought additional bowls of ingredients at S$2.50 each to top up what we have on our bowls. These are the fried crumbs/bits I am referring to.Service & AmbienceHaving Occupying 2 units of hawker spaces, #02-79 and #02-80 and with and overheads of 7 headcounts, the stall is as busy ever. The team of 7 consists of a group of senior citizens, ah hmm and ah peh. Every helper in the stalls are fully occupied to their entitled roles and were so well organised. Look at the long queues over a sunday morning, I was quite lucky that the queues was not this long when I was there. Service was quick and great! PriceThe price of a bowl of Lor Mee selling in a CBD area is totally reasonable! Considering this cheap and tasty Lor Mee, its definitely worth the distance we had traveled for! Recommendations / TipsThey are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.Read More

The FoodI ordered a bowl of lor mee which comes with ngor hiang, braised meat and fried fish. What impressed me lies in its mouthwatering gravy that gives every strand of noodle a thick coat of extraordinary flavour. Also there is no chilli paste included in the lor mee as the gravy alone bring out the full flavour ! The ingredients including the ngor hiang, braised meat and fried fish, are fried till very crispy and niceThe PriceReasonably priced at $3 per bowlOverallThis is indeed one of the more tasty lor mee in Singapore and will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!Read More

When people talk about yummy 卤面, many names from different places will be mentioned. This is also one of them that are being mentioned. I particularly quite like this stall too. The queue to this stall can get very long if you are there on the wrong time, even on Saturdays afternoon when there's not much crowd over here. The price stated $2.50, $3.00 and take away $3.00. I will always go for the $3.00 or even $4.00 for the extra ingredients. There's ngor hiang, shredded fish meat, braised pork belly and fritters. Mixed them all up in the braised sauce you get a nice yummy meal. The braised sauce is pretty thick and smooth. The operations of the stall looks like some factory assembly plant, one person will take order, one person will cook the noodle, one person will add in the ingredients and lastly another will add in the final touch the chilli and vinegar then served you. This is a die die must try when you are in Amoy Street.Read More

FoodEveryone is bragging about how Lor Mee in Bedok Interchange and Tiong Bahru Market taste like.I guess they have not tried this. You can see braised pork belly meat, boiled shredded shark meat, ngoh hiong and fritters bits in this lor mee. The bowl is generously filled with them. Unlike its competitor, the mee does not have the strong "ki" smell.ServiceAuntie is cheerful and friendly.AmbienceFilled with folks during weekends, as Im there quite early on a sunday morning. The seats are ample. However I can see red empty bowls of Yuan Chun Lor Mee left uncleared. Business is good even on weekends!PriceI dont mind paying more with such a wonderful dish.$2.50 portion is good enough for me. Affordable pricing.Recommendation / Tips(1) add chilli, garlic and vinegar to suit one's taste.(2) Die Die Must Try!Read More

So far this is the best Lor Mee I have tried. We can drive all the way from our home at north east when we have craving for Lor Mee.Long Q expected but worth waiting. The cost is $2 for the small bowl and $3 for the big bowl. Nowadays it's not easy to find a meal at $2 and food with old time taste. The gravy is smooth and not starchy like some of the other stores. Some stores you can find lumpy starch while eating. There's shredded fish, Gor hiang and braised pork belly meat in there. What make this store good is the ingredients are fresh and taste good individually. The noodle is cook just right, not over and under. This is due to they have one seperate person specialize on just boiling the noodle.Must try!!!Read More

The most preferred choice for lunch during weekends. The hawker is extremely quiet during weekendd but the queue for this stall is still as long. I usually come in the early morning to queue for it. They used to have $2.00 option but increased it to $2.50. I like to go for the $3.00 with additional ingredients added for $1.00. The braised sauce is sticky and thick with ingredients like shredded fish meat. They served their lor mee with cut chillies and not sambal chilli. MUST TRY. Read More

I am not really a Lor Mee person, so didnt really thought of trying out this stall whenever I am at Amoy Street food center. But was recommended by one of my friend when we were there for our lunch after some work, was told that this is a very famous Lor Mee stall, and I should try it out!Wow i am glad that i have tried it despite of the long queue! This is the first time i tried a hokkien style Lor Mee although I'm a Hokkien. Haha. Didnt really know how a Hokkien style Lor Mee should taste. Well, It tasted quite different in term of the taste and ingredients but it tasted really good. It has shredded fish meat pieces in the Lor Mee! Wasnt it special? Now then i know, Hokkien style Lor Mee has shredded fish meat pieces! And not forgetting the usual ingredients like braised pork slices and ngor hiang! This gonna be the Lor Mee stall that i will be looking forward to whenever I have craving for Lor Mee! Slurps.Read More

good lor mee at amoy food centre. nice sauce and generous serving of ingredients. this lor mee is the type using pork ( not the other one with fried fish) .queue is always long but moves pretty quickly so dont be afraid to join the queue. its good but a little overrated. prefer the lor mee at bukit purmei , which is still tops!Read More
