Signature Dishes
I tried the Green Bean ($1) and Nian Gao Sandwich ($1.60)The Green Bean was a tad dry for me and I prefer the Nian Gao. The Nian Gao Sandwich is also known as the 3-in-1 Nian Gao, consisting of nian gao, sweet potato and yam. I brought it back home to share with my mum and she likes it a lot. It was not too sweet and went well with the crispy batter. They definitely live up to their name for their super crispy batter.

Yummi Bites which is a snack kiosk located at basement one of Bugis Junction. Yummi Bites was established in year 2004, incorporate in the year 2009. The snack kiosk is very convenient to get a grab for snacks as you can just pay, collect and go. Their bestseller is the durian fritters @ $2.50. It is worth of value as you can see the durian flesh and also the crunchy coating on the outer layer. Definitely can taste the durian flesh on your first bite. I also get to try Nian Gao 3-in-one @ $1.60 that has the nian gao with yam and sweet potato. The nian gao is surprisingly not sticky to teeth and taste sweet as well.It would be one of the options for you guys if you are craving for cripsy stuffs after a day of shopping in the shopping mall

They had this groupon deal of $5 for $10 worth of snacks recently so I decided to give it a try, although not a fan of fried food. I bought a few fried tofu, fried niangao with sweet potato, fried banana, and potato cheese balls. The potato cheese balls were dry and tasteless, while the fried tofu tasted normal and nothing to rave about. As for the niangao and banana, they were coated with such thick tasteless flour which made it difficult to finish the whole snack.

I was shopping around bugis junction with my girlfriend. As we were checking out the food street at basement 1, we came across this new snack stall. They seem to sell fried food. Sinful as it sounds, we decided to give it a try and order their fried toufu to share. The toufu were pre fried but still remained hot and crispy. The lady helped us to add mayo and chilli sauce. It made the fried toufu tasted even nicer. I like the batter used to coat around the toufu, very fragrant and buttery. The toufu is actually tau kwa so the texture is not too soft.
