Ever thought of having Vietnamese food in a hawker centre? Well, there is one now at Ghim Moh.The vietnamese food served was good and the beef pho noodles were refreashing as it had many spices used in Vietnamese cooking such as basil leaves and parsely. The beef stew was also great with either rice or noodles. The gravy of the stew compliments the beef and rice.#NTUDAC continue reading

Tasted the bbq pork chop rice set ($4.50). The set comes with a salted egg minced meat patty - there is vermicilli (冬粉) and shredded black fungus within the meat patty too. The sprinkling of spring onion has been marinated with a sweetish sauce and is not bad. Pork chop was well-marinated but was too dry and not tender enough. The pork chop and meat patty were made beforehand and the vietnamese lady just popped them into the microwave oven to heat up. Generally ok, but I'm not a big fan of vietnamese food, so might not patronize this stall again. However, I have seen quite a lot of Vietnamese queuing up at this stall for their food. continue reading

I was in a hurry to buy lunch for my children when I chanced upon this stall at Ghim Moh Food Centre. They had the Rice Rolls all packed and ready to go at the stall and I thought it'd be a refreshing appetiser to our lunch. The prawns were rather fresh but the overall texture of the roll was rather dry. It was made better by the accompanying sauce which was a bit sourish and spicy. continue reading
