I enjoyed this black glutinous rice dessert a lot. This is one of the better one that i tried. It was cooked to the right softness with a good consistence. The sweetness level was just nice. I would prefer it to be sweeter though. The coconut milk enhanced its taste very much. It tasted better with it added. When mixed it well, it was a near perfect black glutinous rice dessert. continue reading

All the desserts are at $2.00 at this particular stall. I was contemplating whether to have ice kachang or soupsop with shaved ice. I decided to go with soupsop as it is not as commonly available as compared to the ice kachang. It was quite a pleasant surprise, it tasted much nicer than i expected. Syrup was poured over that pile of shaved ice before a generous amount of soursop was placed on top. The sweetness level was just right. It was a refreshing choice. continue reading

Zhen Jie Traditional Homemade Dessert is simply awesome! Love their bo bo cha cha! The dessert is filled with the fragrance from the coconut milk and the jelly bites and yam bites in the dessert added different flavours to the dessert when you chew on them. It is served warm, and is very appetizing! I could eat 2 bowls of it! continue reading

This stall sells many traditional desserts such as almond paste, black sesame paste and Pomelo Sago Mango etc. I always have the cold version of mini Tang Yuan in longan tea. You can opt for ginger tea. This bowl is filled with crushed ice and top with rainbow colours balls. The ball is actually mini version of tang yuan. I like the chewy texture in the not too sweet ice cold longan tea. It really cools me down on a hot day. continue reading
