Having a sinful lunch as I brought a plate of the nhor-hiam which consists of several popular nhor-hiam items such as the prawn cracker, deep fried you tiao, tao kwa, yam and many others. There is one particular item which is the squid with stuffings which I think only this stall sells it. The stuffing of the squid is tasty but not sure what it contains. As for the squid, the texture is not too hard and goes pretty well with the stuffing. The stir fried beehoon is a must when it comes to nhor-hiam. The stir fried beehoon from this stall is quite fragrance, comes with some bean sprout and is not as oily as compared to other stall. Lastly, they have two sauces which is the spicy and non spicy version. The spicy sauce is not that spicy and have a slight sweetness in it. As for the non spicy version, the consistency wise is too thick and starchy. Overall, quite a good nhor-hiam from this stall and will continue to patronise in the future. Read More

There are many Zhong Zhong Wu Xiang stall around Singapore, not sure which is the original branch. But what matters most is the quality and taste of the Wu Xiang. This Zhong Zhong Wu Xiang stall always has long queue during meal times.I choose a few Wu Xiang items and their Fried Bee Hoon since everyone was ordering. The Wu Xiang items were nicely deep fried to crispiness, no taste of over used oil.The Chilli sauce had peanuts and I remember other Zhong Zhong branch put onions and pasley. Nevertheless, it taste good and spicy. Maybe too spicy for me if dipped too many. The Bee Hoon was normal with ehough saltiness and sweetness.Overall, this Wu Xiang meal that I had was quite expensive in Hawker centre, at more than $10.Read More

Having some craving for nhor-hiam and decided to buy a plate to satisfied my craving. The items that I have chosen includes the crispy prawn cracker, deep fried squid with stuffings, fish cutlet, deep fried tou kuaw and others. The prawn crackers is one of my favourite due to its super crispy texture and don't forgot to dip into the sauce provided. As for the deep fried squid with stuffings, it is quite unique as it is quite rare to see it in other nhor hiam stall. The other items are well deep fried, fresh and not too oily. As for the sauce, peanut bits are added to add a crunchy texture and the consistency is there and is not too watery. Read More

You do not get to find too many good prawn fritters and ngor hiang stalls around these days. And, this stall is definitely amongst the above average stalls around. I still come back regularly whenever i am in need a fix of good prawn fritters or ngor hiang or some of those fried stuffs. The prawn fritter and ngor hiang are the star. Other items like fried yam roll, prawn roll, fried spring roll or even fried tau twa are the must order for me every time.Their specially made chilli sauce complemented all these fried items and fried bee hoon well. They added in the grounded peanut and chopped onions to further enhance the taste. Their standard and quality of foods have been rather consistent all these years. Read More

I come here very often. I like to order tau kwa, prawn fritter, nghor hiang, spring roll and other fried items. About 5 to 6 items can be easily above $10. The prices used to be much cheaper before. Their homemade chilli sauce went well with the bee hoon and fried items. The bee hoon is a must order. I like the texture and taste. This stall off irregularly. Recommended. Read More

This is my all time favourite in this food centre. I always ordered the prawn fritter, ngor hiang, yam roll and more with fried bee hoon. My favourite has always been the ngor hiang. The ngor hiang has got tasty filling wrapped in the beancurd skin then deep fried well. I can taste real yam in the yam roll. The bee hoon was fried well to give it the right texture and taste. The only complaint of this particular stall is their irregular opening hours. I asked the Auntie and i was told their off days are Monday and Tuesday. I avoided these 2 days but even if i go on Wednesday or even Friday, the stall is closed too. This is one of the better stalls from this. Most of the items are nicely fried and tasted quite fresh. Their fried bee hoon is another must order. They fried it well and tasted good. It goes well with all the fried items. Amongst all of these fried items, my all time favourite has to be the prawn fritter. It tasted best if eaten with their special chilli and sweet sauce. Read More

One of my regular hangouts for lunch during weekends. My usual favorite gotta be the prawn fritters, ngor hiang, yam rolls, tau kwa, spring roll etc. I usually ordered a few of these items with a plate of fried bee hoon. The fried bee hoon here is pretty good. It has the right texture and the right seasoning and it goes well with the fried stuff. I enjoyed their chilli very much too. And for the few items ordered, they will usually give you 2 small bowl of chilli sauce with ground peanuts sprinkled on top. And, if you are taking away then they will packed those ground peanuts aside to make sure it will not get soggy. The spiciness is well-balanced. And, just like every other stall, they will re-fried those items to make them hot and crispy. I always ordered at least 2 prawn fritters with other items. And, another must order item gotta be their yam roll.Their off day is quite irregular though their regular off days should be on Monday and Tuesday. Read More

I have heard that this stall used to be famous in other area, but I am not too sure. Nevertheless, it is worth a try. I do not really know what are most of the items made of, though some are the more obvious ones. So, I simply chose those which look nicer and seem to be more popular with the customers in front of me. The items are fried again before serving, and you can choose to have it with bee hoon. Since I bought other food, I did not order the bee hoon. The items are spiced nicely, though some of them tastes the same (I am very certain that they are different items, since they look different altogether). I am unlikely to return back here, as the food was quite oily from the deep frying. It is also quite expensive in my opinion. Read More
