Signature Dishes
This stall is easy to miss as it's located more towards the back of the food centre in a little corner. Being a fan of handmade noodles, I decided to give this stall a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my simple bowl of you mian ($2.50) tasted really delicious! The stallowner blanched the noodles separately in hot water, while cooking the minced pork, egg, and vegetables in stock broth - adding the cooked noodles last to the bowl of soup. This resulted in the soup having no "floury" taste from the noodles - good! I could then savor the tasty goodness of the broth - not oily but yet full of flavor. The noodles themselves were cooked to a just nice consistency and the minced pork well-marinated. This will definitely be added to my daily lunch repertoire - tasty, cheap & healthy!
