We came bc'os my father-in-law liked this place in the past.

The visit will be my first and last .... for now.

Menu seemed fine at first sight. Dad recommended their paper wrap chicken. Female attendant recommended the $198 (Set C) set for our table of 7 adults & 1 child (5 year old). But we took the $138 menu Set B since Set C was meant for a larger dining group. Menu came along with sotong, prawn, fish. All looked good when we made the order. But not when the order was served

(1) Famous paper wrap chicken - unwrapped itself smaller than a chicken nugget

(2) Fried rice - portion served between our 8 pax was enough for 2 soup spoonfuls each
Hard & dry ... to our taste

(3) The prawn, mushroom soup and fried toufu did not make it for our appetite

(4) Was not expecting much for so-called dessert by the end of the dinner but stayed on since it was part of the set & we were not filled yet. Then came a plate of orange with agar-agar.

Portions were like for 5-6 at a coffeeshop though it is a 8-course meal (particularly the fried sotong, which looked like "leftovers" from a previous diner)

Personally, I will not visit or recommend this restaurant again (hope the restaurant does not relocate itself to a new setup). I am wondering what was special about this restaurant before since their current service & food is well below those in Malaysia & Batam but priced like a 4-star restaurant (there were even reviews from current celebrity & a former President dine there before). Has the previous owners sold the place to a "new" management?

NOTE: Individually wet tissues are charged at $0.30 per piece should you require them .... reject them up front if you do not need (nothing 'special' about these supposedly "Wet Towels" as indicated on the Menu)
