Have been seeing this stall whenever i go to ramen santouka which is just opposite. Then happen to see a time sale on Qoo10 for $8.80 for a ramen+drink+side set and bought 2 vouchers to try it out. When i called for reservation at 730pm for a table for 8pm, i was told its currently packed but 8pm should be fine. Guess its peak crowd is 630-730 with maybe just 1 to 2 table turn over for the entire night. There was japanese menu on the table, kind of funny knowing that probably 90% of the patrons

There was japanese menu on the table, kind of funny knowing that probably 90% of the patrons can't read Japanese. Anyway back to the food, it turned out the offer includes the $12 basic ramen, $6 side dish and 1 drink. Me and my partner ordered one spicy and 1 non spicy version. The ramen noodle looks thinner than usual, almost like kolo mee. Soup taste wasn't falvourful enough, in fact it taste a little more like Chinese styled soup. The soup was supposedly made using purely chicken based paitan broth with shiodare (salt sauce) base that is creamy with a touch of sweetness. It also comes served with bean sprout, that is definitely uncommon for japanese ramen in SG. Fortunately the ramen was not as oily as was described by other reviewers. I would rate it 6.8/10. It was ok but nothing near to being fantastic or would make me want to return another time. Side dish we ordered a plate of steamed dumpling and a fried gyoza, both were pretty average.
