I hear the rave about Wendy's going around. I've heard bad nasty comments as well as high praises about it but it's been some time the hype has been coming down and I've been wanting to try it anyway and finally, Tuesday night saw me over at Wendy's @ Liat Towers for dinner with friends. We ordered and shared a 1/2 Pound Double W/ Cheese set meal and Ultimate Chicken Grill set meal upsized, also threw in the Chili Beef since the visual got me really curious to try it. I must say Wendy’s wasn't a disappointment but of course, it wasn't anything near amazing or praise-worthy either. It was simply average, no offence but in fact I thought it tasted in close comparison to Burger King except that the french fries at Wendy's tasted rather weirdly horrible. The Chili was not too bad though, generous load of minced lean bean with kidney beans, I love kidney beans, and the gravy was neither too oily nor spicy. Wanted to try the baked potatoes too but pity they were out and required a 30 minutes waiting time. I suppose I will try them the next time if there is a next time.

However, what I truly am excited about is to try Wendy's when I go to the States next April and that is when I can make an authentic comparison since I’ve read reviews that say Wendy’s in Singapore taste/is ‘fake’. Till then, I'll just have to rate Wendy's as purely average. Worth a try if you haven’t tried.
