Both of us checked out Baker & Cook Artisan Bakery at Greenwood after reading about it on the Sunday Times. Tucked in a corner, it is a cosy place for a cuppa and a choice of bread, pastries and cakes. We shared the parma ham quiche, Turkish Pide, chocolate almond croissant, carrot cake and lemon tart. The parma ham quiche (which came with a salad) and pide were delicious. Would definitely come back for the Turkish pide, really nice and chewy. The quiche would have been nicer served warm. The car

The parma ham quiche (which came with a salad) and pide were delicious. Would definitely come back for the Turkish pide, really nice and chewy. The quiche would have been nicer served warm.

The carrot cake was moist and had nice walnut chunks in it but the cream cheese frosting was too sweet. The carrot cake from cedele is much better.

The lemon tart lacks the lemon tartness (and it is too sweet) though the pastry base is just nice.

The chocolate almond croissant looks good but did not meet my expectation.

The marmalade and blackcurrant jam are very good !

Prices are reasonable for the quality of the ingredients used and the products look great on display.
