This is my first visit to Men-Tei, heard alot about it and was finally had a chance to try it for myself.I had the tonkutsu ramen. I have the habit of tasting the soup first before mixing everything together. First taste, thought it was normal, doesn't have the sweet n thick taste of pork-bone broth. i tried mixing everything together after thinking it will taste better. No luck. Its still the same..... Next i tried the noodles. Not Q enough which is a huge disappointment for me. The charsiew was quite tough at certain parts but people watching their health should be happy to know that there's not much fat on the charsiew here. They serve half a egg with each bowl of noodles and the yolk wasn't runny enough. Best part of the ramen will be the bamboo shoots, thinly sliced and there's no smell. if only my other preferred ramen joints can have the same bamboo shoots.....
