I specially came to Tiong Bahru market for lunch to try this famous wanton noodle stall! They are well known for their 'never see sky' char siew premium cut and never fails to sell out before 1 pm everyday! You have to come really early! I wanted to reach before lunch time but I was late and it was already close to 1 pm. The 'never see sky' char siew is a nicer name for the pig's armpit part of the char siew. There was already a long queue and true enough, the premium cut is already sold out a few orders before my turn and they are only left with the normal char siew. I manage to try their $3 char siew wanton mee and the people behind me didn't get the chance and had to settle with their chicken noodles. The plate of wanton noodles look so ordinary but the taste is superb! I love that the noodles are full of flavour and not tangled with one another at all. The normal char siew is already nice and I couldn't imagine how their premium cut must taste like! I will definitely be back to try their Grade A char siew!
